Greed? Was it greed when I studied, joined the military, went to college on a scholarship, served years away from my family and friends at sea only to be forced out of the military and then become a public school teacher at half my previous pay rate? Was it greed when I worked a full day and then attended graduate school at night to seek advancement and higher pay? Was it greed when the state threatened my meager retirement and forced me to retire early and find another job? Was it greed that forced me to sell my home so I could survive on the proceeds along with my reduced SS and small retirement? Was it greed that forced me to no longer live in my own home and live with my daughter and take care of her house?I worked all my life. In the 1950,s a man could work, wife stay home and take care of family, and he could buy a house, food, car, etc and still have a bank account. Then Greed took control.
The short answer is "No!" It was not greed, but hard work and sacrifice to get me where I am.
