There are a plethora of reasons for most people ending up in Hell

I say one of them is.. and maybe this is the "biggest" one or primary one

People do NOT want to make sacrifices. they don't want to give up their sins, for one. Then even when they do or try to, they don't want to make themselves uncomfortable by doing such things as: helping the economically needy as Christ said to do in Mt 25:31. In that same psg He said that if we refuse to help people, or at least "the least of His people" we end up in "eternal punishment" (the JWs will disagree because according to them there is no eternal punishment... so you can believe Jesus or believe the JWs, it's up to you).

People (including yours truly) do not appreciate difficulty. They do difficult regardless, however, when it will do something good for themselves, like for example, they will obey their boss, clean out some grubby storage room or what have you... bc they want to impress the boss. But when it comes to their spare time, they don't want to use it to please THE Boss, don't want to help out at the local soup kitchen or whatever. There are so many other good things besides that that a person could do for the Lord but we dn't always want to do ... much of any of it. We have to force ourselves sometimes and most just shrug and say "Bleh.... I'm going to watch TV"

so much interest in this topic!

It kind of proves the point made in OP

It makes no sense for there to even be a hell. And it makes less sense that most people would end up in a hell.
It makes total sense to me and I would bet money I am a lot older than you and more experienced in spiritual matters. I have read the entire DRB (Bible)

But actually it's my experiences on this earth that make me realize it is true most people end up there--LONG story there, but a very interesting one.

And most who end up there didn't believe in Hell

I’m probably older than you. But that’s not the point. The point is that any divine Creator who did create all of the universe would be unlikely to create Hell.

Wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

It makes no sense for there to even be a hell. And it makes less sense that most people would end up in a hell.
Of course for all those who are serving the god of this world and the flesh.....hell would not make sense.

Hell was created by God for Satan and his angels (angel: messenger, one who is sent). Hell is reserved for Satan and his angels/demons/minions. (Matthew 25:41) Satan is the "god" of this world (2 Cor. 4:4) Unless you repent and allow yourself to be "Called Out" from this world and it's corruption.........Hell is reserved for YOU. "If ye were of this world; the world would love its own; but, because you are not of this world, but I have chosen you out of this world, therefore the world hates you." -- John 15:19

The literal meaning of "church" is those who are called out..........in the original Greek the term is "EKKLESIA". Hell is reserved for all of us as we are all sinners by free will, you lie if you say "I have no sin" .........but the Christ is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we confess our sins and repent (turn away toward a righteous direction with your life mind....with an admission of your sinful nature) -- 1 John 1:8-10.

Since Adam.......all of mankind has been under a certain sentence of death. "Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all have sinned (notice......the passage declares that all men "have sinned", (Romans 5:12) not........are born into sin) If all men are born into sin.........Was Jesus Christ born a sinner when the scriptures declare He was Born of Woman, Born under the law...was tempted like all men yet sinned not? (Gal. 4:4-5, Hebrews 4:15)

Salvation/life for the spirit of man, the called out.......is a gift, paid for by the sacrificial blood of the Messiah, Christ Jesus (Acts 20:28) So simple, so easy........yet the vast majority of men will choose to serve the god of this world and sentence themselves to hell.......basically because of the same sin that caused Satan to be cast from heaven........PRIDE.

He had to have some place to put Satan after Satan rejected Him

Anyone who follows Satan logically ends up with Satan

AMEN

refreshing to go through an entire post and not find anything heretical

Ever notice that whenever anyone checks out, all their friends and family always talk about ''oh, I'm sure he's looking down on all of us and smiling!"

Nobody ever says, ''oh, that cat's roasting in hell, for sure.''

I've noticed. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to hear someone say that some person who just died is "in Heaven."

objectively presumptuous

subjectively: wishful thinking

They are in a better place is what I hear a lot, and know better with some, I guess it makes people feel better, and gets them through it.

Appreciate the post and your effort. But I’ve come to the conclusion that no God worthy of the position would create a place like Hell.

From the perspective a devout believer, I am not worthy of spending much time on.

I find it contrary to the reality that you would have such a mindset, and in a contradiction of your own words.....you continue to post on a subject that you say you reject. God will be God regardless of what man does or does not do.

That's why "hell" exists......the majority of the world would rather worship the created instead of the creator and by doing so become the minions of the god of this world, Satan (1 Cor. 4:4), having been given over to a reprobate mind by the God of creation. God simply gives up on those who refuse to accept the reality that surrounds them with the evidence that God exists by the "things that are made/created." (Romans 1:20-32) Man is not capable of defining his own origins through the natural laws of physics. There is no Law of the Big Bang........there is no Law of Evolution......in fact a simple question presents a paradox for mankind. What is Love........not the symptoms of love, but love. "IF" the natural can't explain the physical effect known as "mankind".......that logically leaves only one conclusion: We owe our existence to a "Super (superior) Natual (to nature)" CAUSE.

Just as science can't explain a reality that is experienced by mankind everyday.....LOVE....(how do you quantify/measure to prove the existence of LOVE?) Science is not capable....Applied Science that defines the Laws of Physics through evidences in fact.......of creating....reproducing (which is a major prerequisite for the Scientific Method)......LIFE. Life can only be reproduced though pre-exising life of the same species. Science is not capable of explaining, in a factual manner, the CAUSE of the EFFECT known as the supposed BIG BANG.

The problem with the world is revealed by God......God needs nor requires nothing from man (Acts 17:28), man on the other hand, having been created in the "imagine" of God is not complete without God, man has an innate need to seek out God (whether its admitted or not)........but God is not far from everyone, mankind has his existence with the God of Creation. God has made from "one blood" all nations of men that dwell on earth, and has determined the limits and bounds of their habitation.....that they may seek out the Lord......... (Acts 17:25-27
