MT is just following the example already laid out and taking it a step further.MT already banned it from state Govt devices. That is not the same thing as telling private citizens they cannot have it.
When you work for someone, be it a private business or the Govt and they issue you a phone/tablet/laptop there are always restrictions on the software that can be loaded. When you accept the device you have to sign and say you agree not to do so.
If you had ever had a job above fry cook at Wendy's you would know this.
