Montana becomes first state to completely ban TikTok

What 'Chinese propoganda' is on tiktok that isn't everywhere else, too?

Tiktok in Red China is about educational and family friendly videos designed to build their country. The version they send to the USA is about encouraging children to smoke Tide Pods and pester their parents so they can change their gender.

Pretty subversive IMHO.

Why ban Twitter? If Twitter is doing what Tik Tok does with our information, then yes, ban them too.

What does TikTok do with our information that Twitter or FB or Google or any of the rest of them does not?

“Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte signed a bill Wednesday banning TikTok in the state.”

Clearly un-Constitutional, conservatives will attempt to defend it regardless.

Didn't Joey Xiden ban it from phones for Govt employees? Don't recall you claiming the First Amendment was violated then....https://www.npr.org/2022/12/20/1144519602/congress-is-about-to-ban-tiktok-from-u-s-government-phones

What's wrong with the State of Montana flowing Joey Xiden's example?

MT already banned it from state Govt devices. That is not the same thing as telling private citizens they cannot have it.

When you work for someone, be it a private business or the Govt and they issue you a phone/tablet/laptop there are always restrictions on the software that can be loaded. When you accept the device you have to sign and say you agree not to do so.

If you had ever had a job above fry cook at Wendy's you would know this.

MT is just following the example already laid out and taking it a step further.

Moreover, the Dems have been trying to do this in Congress

Congress rolls out new bill allowing nationwide TikTok ban

A TikTok ban is closer than it’s ever been following the Tuesday introduction of a bill that would make it easier for the Biden administration to restrict access to the popular video sharing app.
The bipartisan bill, led by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), would empower the secretary of Commerce to ban foreign technologies and companies from operating in the US if they present a threat to national security. While TikTok is not explicitly named in the bill text, the measure covers companies in adversarial countries including China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela.

I don't recall you, or any Dem starting a thread when Dem Senator Mark Warner introduced this bill...why not? Why only threads started when Montana does what the dems in Congress have been working on?

and the step further is the problem.

Yes, I know. One more example of how there is no difference between the two parites.

I criticize actions, not words.
