Again, this smacks of China. The way the Chinese tracked the movement of their citizens during COVID lockdowns was to forcibly install tracking software apps on their mobile devices. In other words, they knew where you were. They knew if you broke quarantine. Coming from the technology world, this would be one of the only ways to enforce a ban like this. Parents, of course could enforce those rules on their children by being given the ability to lock down their phones or block the app. But that would have to be explicitly provided by their cell carrier.

No. TikTok is one of many tools that China uses to deliberately corrupt the West and raise their own GDP at our expense and possibly even spy on us. Americans should not simply be free to engage in activity which hurts this country, directly or indirectly. Those who think that being a "free" American means you should be free to do business with a country which is hostile to ours are WAY out of line. These conduits and channels of trade and communication with China need to be terminated. China used to isolate itself and have strict policies of non-involvement. Nixon and a handful of others blew that door off its hinges. 50 years later this is where we are. We need to put China back in it's place by gradually cutting ties with them with as little military involvement as possible, although in the long run some maybe inevitable.

The trouble with that is it is unconstitutional. The government has no right to tell me what apps that I can have on my PERSONAL phone. That is the biggest dangeer to this country.

The second thing is how would you even enforce this? Are they going to go door to door to see what apps I have on my phone? What if I say hell no?

State devices and personal devices are two different things. Government cannot tell me what apps that I can have on MY phone.

No, I'm advocating for not allowing a communist country's tools in our country precisely because I don't want them to facilitate our country becoming like theirs. TikTok is corrupting our society starting with our youth, promotes unhealthy behavior and acts, and likely uses the app to spy on us as well. If this was 1940 would you want Nazi literature pushed in bookstores and public libraries....or If this was 1962, would you advocate inviting Soviet educators here to teach our kids their ideology because refusing would somehow make US into communists???
