Columbus city leaders: There is no ‘stand down’ order for police
A social media post about protesters surrounding vehicles in downtown Columbus spread across social media, causing confusion about how Columbus police could respond.

In Columbus Ohio, as the Marxist group Black Lives Matter began to protest, and subsequently caused about a million dollars worth of damage to the state house, the police were given an unofficial stand down order. Now they are trying to find out who. Word on the street is, it came from the Mayor himself. I mean, he is the one in charge, isn't he? Then again, if he was in charge of the police force in Columbus Ohio, and the police were racist, then protestors should have vandalized his house instead of the state house, so maybe he is just a powerless figure head. Or maybe Mayor Ginther just has a "D" by his name, like all inner city Mayors do, so he gets a free pass for not doing his job and rooting out all of this apparent racism. Now protesters will get in our faces to scream at us about the racism in the police force that we are not in charge of?
How does this work again?
I say that the state house is the house of the people and if the people and the Mayor want it vandalized then let them. After all, we have all learned the lesson that we can work from home anyway, and probably should from now on cuz we have viruses in the world, so let the building sit there and rot empty instead of taxing the citizens that obviously don't want it there.
