Mars gets further away

You're an ignorant derpy lying *****. Starship 36 is privately funded. Zero tax dollars involved.
SpaceX has a $3 billion contract to develop it as part of the HLS system.

Maybe but NASA has killed 18 astronauts and costs the US tax payer billions more than the private sector, turns out that government bureaucracy isn't as good as the left pretends.
One was a lesbian. Did you count her as 1 or as 3/5ths in you MAGA math?

Elon neednt lose any sleep. The american taxpayer picks up the tab for his rockets to nowhere,. (many)
Nice work if you can get it.
Thomas Edison's light bulb invention involved numerous failed attempts, with estimates ranging from hundreds to thousands of prototypes that didn't work. According to Edison himself, he didn't view these as failures, but rather as discoveries of ways that wouldn't work. This perspective highlights the importance of perseverance and learning from setbacks in the innovation process.

Only if he continues to support Trump. If he says anything bad about him, then the contracts go away.
The starship is still in its Developmental Stage and with Test launches. We are not going to get many missions of the NASA Space Launch System with the Orion Capsule costing 4 billion dollars a launch. We are supposed to go to the Moon and stay there or in orbit in a semi-permanent way at least. Most likely the NASA budget would need to be quadrupled for this. The whole rocket is thrown away after launch except for the capsule. It's the 1960's.

Well, NASA is looking to have its budget slashed by the Republicans and they can’t find an administrator. There’s layoffs and no direction.

Sure looks like we aren’t going anywhere, anytime.

$3 billion to Musk is going up in smoke for something we don’t need and will almost certainly never use.

Musk isnt an inventor. Just a grifter.

I do not know if they want to slash its budget. The space station cost about 4 billion a year for maintenance and upkeep total. It's not really International in that regard. That will end in a few years, and the money can go somewhere else. The Space Launch System may be eventually cancelled. If Starship does not pan out The Space X Falcon Heavy may help out. A couple launches for every one Space Launch System but at a much cheaper price. Hopefully other private rocket companies will see success also over the next few years. If Musk gets that to work, it will bring down the price immensely.

Trump is proposing a 25% cut to their budget. ISS doesn’t deorbit until 2030.

Well good for you and what you think.

When will you turn on Musk?
Turn on him how? What exactly am I currently doing that supports him? Pointing out that a random person on a message board likely knows less about shooting rockets into space than a guy who owns a company that shoots rockets into space is hardly support. Can you provide some sort of evidence that shows you know more on the subject than the guy actually shooting rockets into space?

Certain lefties really, really don’t like people like Elon because they criticize kid diddlers.
Tommy's opposition to Elon starts and stops with Elon's support of Trump. Full stop.

The Starship is privately funded. SpaceX's very successful Falcon 9 rocket is the one used for government contracts and is way cheaper than anything anyone else is launching. Do you have an issue with saving the tax payer money.

We could always go back to relying on the Russians. After Obama canceled the Space Shuttle program the Russians where given over 3 billion in tax payer money.

One more nonsensical post from you.

why do you even bother getting out of bed every day -- or do you?

Impossible. Even with the expansion of the universe, planets within a galaxy do not move further apart due to the expansion of the universe. While the universe is indeed expanding, this expansion primarily affects the distance between galaxy clusters, not the distances between objects bound by gravity within a galaxy. :auiqs.jpg:

We will not be going to Mars (as in colonizing), in our lifetimes or any time soon. We can send robotic crap with AI maybe.

Most likely scenarios of any advanced civilization visiting other galaxies will involve things that replicate and can move on. Maybe some day in our future we will be able to put human consciousness or whatever into things. Maybe even nano sized things.

Musk's Mars delusions are fired by ego. HE will die and be buried on Earth -- or cremated and sent to Mars as ashes. Good riddance :auiqs.jpg:

try and keep up
