Mars gets further away

Why do foreign lefties celebrate these kind of failures? Sabotage?

I'm not saying this is the case now, but sometimes, with things like this, you test UNTIL you get failure. That lets you know the limits. When trying new things, you're going to have failures. Look at the Wright brothers. They failed time and time again, before they finally got it right.

And the rest is history.

Apollo 1 burned up on the launch pad. We lost HALF of our operational space shuttles to crashes. NASA is far from perfect.

Whats the deal with musks involvement ? What does he get at the end of it ?
Mars isnt in the gift of trump or any President.

Elon neednt lose any sleep. The american taxpayer picks up the tab for his rockets to nowhere,. (many)
Nice work if you can get it.

I thought it was a tragedy and a set back for all of us.

I have no regard for Musk. he is a showman and a con man.

he was arrogant and naive enough to think he could buy Donald Trump n proclaim himself co President.

And I am unlikely to own a Tesla.

Still, I want Starship to succeed.

Musk believes that if the human race is to survive long term it has be interplanetary. Mars is the closest planet that we could possibly inhabit. Having civilizations on multiple planets is a fail safe against catastrophic events on 1.

(2)I dont think he bought it to make money did he? At least that's not the reason he gave if I recall correctly.

(1)Only because left wing nuts are apparently more worried about Trump's presidency than the environment, which is odd since I thought climate change was an existential threat to everyone, and while Trump isn't nearly as good a President as some of supporters make out his Presidency won't be the end of life on earth as we know it.

(3) I believe the majority of failed missions have been on the Starship side which isn't funded by taxpayers, but you know details like this don't matter when you have a political axe to grind.
1. EVs sales continue to grow fast. Just not Tesla. You need to be more accruate please.
2. He said he was turning it into the "everything app". He financed the buy so he didnt tell investors they were investing $30B to lose money so he can control twitter content. Feel free to link that.
3. You are incorrect in your beliefs. Feel free to link support for your claim.

The tech billionaire's aerospace company has benefited from nearly $19.8 billion in federal contracts since 2008.

A majority of that money − $14.4 billion − went to NASA and $5.32 billion went to the Defense Department to pay for SpaceX rocket launches and satellites.

Fiscal year 2024 was the largest on record for SpaceX, aided by at least $3.8 billion in U.S. government contracts.

Yes the people who care so much about the environment would rather burn a Tesla (great for the environment BTW) because the owner of Tesla gave some money to a politician they don't like. It's dumb. Do you really think Ford, Chevy, and all the other car companies these moron's are buying EV's from don't donate money to politicians they don't like? Really? I've got a bridge to sell if you do. Or how about some beachfront property in AZ?

“I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy,” Musk wrote in a letter sent to Twitter Chairman Bret Taylor and disclosed in a securities filing.

That's why he bought it. Or at least why he said he bought it.

You're aware that Space X which is what's launching all the satellites into space and rescuing astronauts NASA leaves stranded on the ISS and receiving all the government money for their services (at a much lower cost than NASA was doing it at) isn't having the launch failures. That's Starship which is a separate program within the parent company and doesn't receive those tax payer funds for its launches or development.

Yes because NASA doesn't have the capability to launch anything into space anymore. They have outsourced it to companies like Space X because Space X is better at it, and does it for less money than NASA ever could. Not sure why that's Elon Musk's fault.

It’s not dumb it’s economics. Piss on your customers and they dump you. They aren’t running to gas guzzling alternatives. They are running to other EVs. Why do you care which EV they buy?

Elon made a ridiculous offer and tried to get out of it. He said it wasn’t worth what he thought it was (financially). When he lost the suit he suddenly said he always wanted it for the “everything app” potential. Once it was apparent he was made to waaaaay overpay he said that he didnt buy it for the financials. LOL.

Elon is reckless. Some things work out some dont. This didnt.

First, you can’t really take a program that the government funds R&D for and separate all the private applications that money led to. Secondly, the starship was selected for lunar landings and is in fact funding some portion of those failures. Elons failures nearly bankrupted the company and the govt (US taxpayers) bailed them out.

Whats the deal with musks involvement ?
It's the transfer of public sector costs to the private sector, if it weren't musk it would be someone else.
What does he get at the end of it ?
A question that so befuddles white liberals they cannot conceive there is a real and obvious answer...it is just the next evolutionary step from Henry Ford, from Lewis and Clark from Columbus etc....conquests that advance the species through physical deed that can be seen as well as felt, not the customary hooey you are used to in a media/social driven ideology that pretends such an inane question actually has any amount of thought and merit behind...
Mars isnt in the gift of trump or any President.
...but the means of great achievement should be.
