Mars gets further away

The Starship is privately funded. SpaceX's very successful Falcon 9 rocket is the one used for government contracts and is way cheaper than anything anyone else is launching. Do you have an issue with saving the tax payer money.

We could always go back to relying on the Russians. After Obama canceled the Space Shuttle program the Russians where given over 3 billion in tax payer money.
Musk received $3 billion taxpayer dollars to develop it through the HLS contract.

Yes, Elon has had a number of rockets explode. Have you ever wondered why it only happens to rockets that dont have people onboard? Lets hear your thoughts on this. Why do you think that only Elon's unmanned rockets explode? I understand that we arent rocket scientists and most people wont know the answer (i know exactly why and i will tell you if youre interested), but would you like to take a guess just for fun?
He is a liberal, not too smart.

Trump is proposing a 25% cut to their budget. ISS doesn’t deorbit until 2030.
The cut in budget may be a slowdown of the Space Launch System. They are building a larger launch tower that was supposed to cost two hundred million dollars, and it is nearing two billion dollars in cost. A total of three is proposed with the first one launched near a couple of years ago. The second one will circle the moon with a crew and the third one is supposed to land on the moon. The space station is still near 4 billion dollars a year once it is deorbited.

I posted a link showing where the funding for Starship development is coming from. You are just pulling numbers out of your ass.
Your own link references the NASA contracts.

“With the exception of large contracts such as the Starship lunar lander funding from NASA, Starship isn’t making any money, only using it.”

Almost all the science at NASA comes from unmanned programs which Trump has proposed cutting drastically.

The manned space program soaks up a lot of money and doesn’t return much actual science.
NASA died long ago. Musk has inspired advancement

Tommy's opposition to Elon starts and stops with Elon's support of Trump. Full stop.
I disagree. Elon has always used the pedo slur to attack people and been vocal against pedos, which is why the media/left have always not liked him very much. The Trump support just sent them over the edge.

That's a contract for a job, you see in the real world a business signs a contract that states they can do a specific job and they are compensated for that. By the way 1.15 billion is not 4 in real world math.

NASA is not funding development of the Starship, SpaceX is spending its own money.
It’s $1.15 on top of the previous $2.9 billion.

The contract fund the development of Starship because they need Starship to do that job.

Thomas Edison's light bulb invention involved numerous failed attempts, with estimates ranging from hundreds to thousands of prototypes that didn't work. According to Edison himself, he didn't view these as failures, but rather as discoveries of ways that wouldn't work. This perspective highlights the importance of perseverance and learning from setbacks in the innovation process.
Dyson produced 5,127 prototypes of the bagless vacuum cleaner before he perfected it.

Obviously with space exploration involving humans, the less prototypes and more successes the better.

Elon neednt lose any sleep. The american taxpayer picks up the tab for his rockets to nowhere,. (many)
Nice work if you can get it.

Strange how when a blackor a female official is involved in any tragedy, the story from the right wing kooks (not you of course) is instantly that they were not qualified.

I’m curious how this explosion could have taken place without any DEI involvement. Could it be that qualified people make mistakes? Nah...it has to be ethnicity right?
