A Manhattan judge has ruled that former Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) had no “legal foundation” for his decision to cancel NYC’s contract with Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park in the Bronx after Jan. 6.​

​

New York State Supreme Court Justice Debra James overruled the de Blasio administration’s Jan. 15, 2021 decision to yank Trump’s operating license for the 18-hole course.​

Eric Trump celebrated the ruling in a statement, saying:​

“The judge didn’t buy their nonsense, and this is a well-reasoned and appropriate decision, and we look forward to running the best golf course for years to come.​

“De Blasio did this for his own political theater.​

​

“He wasted tremendous amounts of time and city resources on his own vendetta.​

​

“He is a disgrace to New York, and everyone is glad he is gone.”​
