UPDATE:
Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. has been found guilty of violating the USMC, sentenced to9 Days Pre-Trial Confinement Time Served, a letter of reprimand and a forfeiture of $5,000 worth of pay for one month.
The judge said he does not condone Scheller’s offenses, but noted his 17 year USMC career, saying that prior to his social media incident, he was an officer with an outstanding record – a record, he said, he weighed heavily.
His career, however, is over. It seems he will be allowed to stay n service; however, he will be relieved of his command, will never be allowed to hold another command position again, and he will never make rank/ be promoted again.
Then again, as he stated, he does not care and was willing to forfeit all of this anyway in order to publicly call for those responsible for the horrendous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
