Scheller, Marine who criticized Afghanistan withdrawal, pleads guilty to all charges in court-martial hearing

- Scheller was freed from the brig last week where he was being held for violating an agreement to stop posting criticism on social media

'The U.S. Marine who posted videos on social media criticizing military leadership and the Biden administration’s withdrawal of military assets from Afghanistan pled guilty to all charges during a court-martial hearing at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on Thursday.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. has pled guilty to all six misdemeanor-level charges, including willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, dereliction in the performance of duties and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

Scheller was freed from the brig last week where he was being held for violating an agreement to stop posting criticism on social media.'

It does not matter that everything he said was correct.

It does not matter that the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff both admitted to horrifically failing at their jobs contributing to the horrific withdrawal disaster.

It does not matter that these men / leaders threw Biden under the bus and made it clear the Afghanistan withdrawal disaster was Biden's clusterfuck.

It does not matter that he is right, those responsible should be held responsible / accountable.....and that although deserving to be relieved of command / fired, neither Austin or Gen Milleh has been punished and will not.

Military members are held to the UCMJ, and Scheller, admittedly, violated the UCMJ. For discipline sake the military can not allow him to NOT be punished. He was right, someone needs to be punished, but he forgot those responsible always passes the buck and always punishes the innocent for demanding those responsible be held accountable.

The correct procedure would be to contact one’s representatives, not post on social media. He should know that, as an active duty soldier.

Xiden had a General fired for expressing the truth back when he was VP, now as President, he’s locking up military personal that disagrees.

The Emperor in Star Wars did something like this to the Jedi

I hope by pleading guilty he keeps his pension and stays out of prison.
He doesn't deserve to be punished for speaking the truth to power.
Rules are different for the military

Yes, but our systems have broken down......and most all of our pols if not all are all corrupt pieces of shit who are now breaking down the military and putting their woke corrupt pieces of shit like milley and austin who are getting people killed. Speaking out is better than what the military could be doing legally speaking-----think that too will be coming.

I know, he is technically guilty. However, after all the blood, sweat, tears, and US lives, I can understand why he would want to bitch about the surrender to the Taliban. That is not a good recruiting ad.

He agreed NOT to do it on social media.
