Navient lied to their customers. They are getting off cheap as they have defrauded their customers.

Looks like they were deceptive regarding the ability of borrowers to release their co-signers from their loans. How does this absolve the borrower from their responsibility to pay their debt? Force Naviant to release co-signers and move on.

The borrowers should still own the money, no matter how you slice it, but leave it up to our screwed-up legal system to let them off on what amounts to a technicality.

There are plenty of jobs out there, but no, I wouldn't hire somebody that displayed your type of attitude. Maybe that is their problem. They are the types that come into an interview with a chip on their shoulder acting as if I owe them something.

There are plenty of opportunities for educational assistance. I've got news for you, in countries where advanced education is "free", you are also pushed into certain fields based on your aptitude. Just because you express an interest in going to a 4-year college doesn't mean you will get in and it will be paid for. In the US, every Tom, Dick and Harry can get a loan from the federal government and major in gerbil cosmetology if they wish.

Plus there are scholarships for those who work at it. Even after wearing out the tax credits my kid goes to community college free or close enough it's simply not a burden.
