I knew you were talking about inheritance, but what makes you think the government should confiscate a person’s ENTIRE WEALTH to distribute it to someone else? The person who acquired it made sacrifices, worked extremely hard, likely went for professional-level education (or was an astute and motivated business owner), so he could leave his family a legacy of comfort - NOT so it could be stolen to distribute to people who never put in the effort or made prudent decisions that enabled me to be at least moderately comfortable.
