Liz Cheney - Speaks Truth To Power

“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. today we will see whether republicans stand strong for the integrity of our elections but whether or not they stand strong for our country.”

Seems the J6 committee is bullshit.

When does the May 29th committee begin hearings?

The GOP is a party of cowards, there is no other way to describe these mewling sycophants to Trump. With all the evidence, with all of Trump's actual words, they all bow before him, none with the guts or the balls to even tell the truth, even though they know the truth is different from what they peddle.

Except Liz Cheney, she is no coward.

Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said Wednesday that the Jan. 6 committee’s work has shown that former President Donald Trump’s involvement in a plot to overturn the 2020 election was “even more chilling and more threatening than we could have imagined.”

“We have to choose. The Republican Party cannot be both loyal to Donald Trump and loyal to the Constitution,” Cheney said in a speech Wednesday evening at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. “
We stand at the edge of an abyss and we must pull back. We must pull back.

Cheney said she has been motivated to stand against Trump’s lies about the 2020 election because of her hopes that her children “will continue to live in an America where the peaceful transfer of power is guaranteed ... [and] in an America that is a nation of laws, not of men.”

The Republicans aren't in power, and neither is the Trumpster.

So she is speaking to a lack of power, not "power" at all.

Well she better speak fast. She only has to Jan '24.

I guess she can get her a gig on MS-LSD afterwards.
By Aug. 17th we will know how badly she has been beaten. Current approval of likely republican voters in Wyoming, as of today still stands at 12%... There is a 32-point spread between her and Haggman.. It's not even going to be close.

Liz Cheney is a well known Bush loyalist and an obsessed Trump hater. She is a joke and the J6 Dog and Pony Show is a joke.

The trumplets can't STAND an assertive woman. And for good reason, she shows them for the sniveling cowards they are.

Liz Cheney speaks talking points to partisan fools and when this whole January 6th dog and pony show wraps and Cheney is no longer the lefts useful idiot you will toss her under the bus and trash and vilify her even more than you did her father.

I'm not sure what Ms. Cheney is hoping to accomplish by running for reelection anyhow.

This bullshit committee's work will be done by the end of the year, so that isn't the reason.

The results of the November election will either be (a) victory by the Democrats or (b) victory by the Republicans.

Result A would mean that Ms. Cheney will have no power as a member of the minority party.

Result B would mean she would have little effectiveness with her enemies in charge of the House leadership. And in 2025, will she be able to work with President Trump should he be elected after the conniption she had this year.

If I were advising Rep. Cheney, I'd recommend she change parties, so she can at least get a good position in the next Congress, if she is indeed, reelected.

Shut up dumb ass. Was your brother killed by the Biden drug trafficking? Mine was. Now piss off home Dem traitor.
Sorry to hear your bro was afflicted with the disease of drug addiction. I'll add it to the list of things Biden erroneously gets blamed for.

I disagree with most of her politics, but in this....she at least has a spine. Something we can't say for most of the GOP.
