I think you know exactly what I'm writing about unless you are a climate denier. People will wait for proof that they will never see because the changes will span lifetimes and centuries. We will continue to rationalize global warming, searching for explanations to avoid the huge sacrifices to stop it. Over the centuries we will build higher seawall, and move inland. As heat and rising sea levels destroy fertile land, populations will shrink. At some point in the centuries to come, Mars will look like a pretty good place to live for the few that can get there.

The disaster of climate change will never be an emergency because it will occur over decades and centuries so we will adapt, and adapt, and adapt until there is nothing left to adapt.

Yeah, I just read again today that she expects to lose and plans on running as an Independent in 2024, knowing that even though she has no chance of winning, she thinks she can get enough votes from the Republican side to spite them, causing the Democrat to win. In other words, she has devoted her life to spiting Republicans. She has been a lifelong diehard conservative and yet she has now dedicated her life to bringing into power Progressive Democratic Socialists who round up their enemies, try them in kangaroo courts, and jail them, like Hitler's Gestapo.

If this was real, then we would have converted on a massive footing decades ago. The earth's climate and temperatures change. The sun affects the weather. The wobbling of the earth is not exact as it varies by a couple of degrees. What we have is 8 billion people living in places not so crowded as 25 years ago, 50 years ago a century ago and so on. We have the technology for propaganda, and it is used for it. Climate change is natural with humans affecting it minimally. Just hardening and upgrading our electric grids and improving building codes will improve things immeasurably. Real infrastructure is important. And we have been lax in keeping it in top shape.

Funny thing though is that Cheney is doing everything she can to further and even intimidate the DOJ to charge Trump so that he can't run and yet here she is, planning to run in 2024 to try screwing him over. Guess she doesn't really believe Trump will be charged with anything. Her judgement is clouded. She's just pissed at him and seeks revenge, while she apparently knows that the Jan 6th commission will all be for naught, just like the Mueller investigation was. It's personal to her. To hell with laws. Just get Trump.

The results of the election will be either the D's win or the R's win. If the D's win the House, and Cheney is reelected, she'll have no power. I'm not sure what you are referring to. It is a fantasy to think any third party will ever become viable, at least in the next 50 years. Republicans and Democrats have the system rigged so that only one of the two of them can win and the only way to get the system changed is for Republicans and Democrats to change it. Fat chance of that ever happening, even if lightning struck and a Libertarian won the presidency (now we're back to fantasyland again).

Surely, as a Libertarian, you know that a viable third party just isn't going to happen. Libertarians all have an "L" painted across their foreheads. "L" being for loser. I am an independent because over the years I have voted for a mix of Republicans, Democrats, and others. I'm not beholden to any one party, even though I lean right. I actually considered voting for Johnson in 2016 but he just wasn't up to the job so I wrote in John Kasich. The problem with Libertarians is that they think you can vote for any unqualified Tom, Dick, or Jane and it would be better than voting for either an R or a D. I may have. I just noticed that you are listed as "Libertarian/Anarchist", whatever the hell that is. I saw Libertarian and just assumed that you were Libertarian. Now it seems more obvious that instead of being a Libertarian you are actually an Anarchist, someone who is against and wants to blow up all government, no matter what kind of government it is. So, in other words, there is no such thing as a government you would actually agree with. if God came down and granted you one wish and it had to be about the government you actually wanted, all you could say is get rid of the government we have because you couldn't identify what kind of government you would actually want.
