Let's discuss why American marxists don't defect to marxist countries, shall we?

This "everybody is a marxist" thing is just totally dumb. Not surprising coming from right-wingers.
They're so locked in simplistic binary thought processes that shallow, ignorant, goofy hyperbole is all they can manage.

Plus, they finally realized that "socialist" wasn't scaring anybody. Obviously they'll soon find that out about "Marxist" too.

Let it be a cautionary tale. Don't let your mind atrophy at the hands of an ideology.

There seems to be no middle anymore. Anyone who doesn't support trump is a "marxist." Ignorance abounds, as does exaggeration.

Trump has nothing to do with it. You people shit yourselves over anyone being proud of Capitalism or a valedictorian thanking Jesus.

People can be "proud" of capitalism, whatever you mean by that. A valedictorian should say something meaningful at a graduation. My objection to "thanking Jesus" is due to the current idea that some of most moronic of Christians have that need to showboat and carry on every chance they get. They are pretty rude. Other Christians, as well as people of other faiths, show more of a sense of decorum when speaking to a mixed audience. It's only the crude trump morons who go around calling people "marxist."

Your personal issues with Christianity aside, Marxists make a big deal out of Christianity present in the classroom and courthouse. Somehow the presence of the 10 Commandments is “showboating”?

I remember that there were Jewish kids in my class before staff-lead prayer was banned, and every day they had to hear the teacher leading the class in the Lord's Prayer. It was only as an adult that I learned that this prayer is only Christian.

You must have been quite dense as a child.

Such is the way for all of those who are under the spell of the ways of the world.

The power of group think is quite powerful indeed and conformity is more important than truth.

Sure, it's not at all rational and reasoned like "everybody who disagrees with me is a Nazi".

But nobody says that., and, in any event, it would depend on the explanation that the person offers for their view. Reasoned? Or just a rant against some group of his/her fellow Americans. There are probably about 500 marxists in the U.S. on a bad day.
Nobody says that? Bullshit. The "punch a Nazi" crap is driven not by people disagreeing with Nazis, but by people categorizing everyone who disagrees with them as Nazis. Pay attention.

Since its establishment, the CPUSA has lived through the inter-war period and Cold War repression, which practically forced the organization underground. Of the country’s 300 million inhabitants, the organization currently has some 5,000 members nationwide.

And that's just the card-carrying Commies.

How about academia, the refuge of people who don't have to be productive members of society?

The Prevalence of Marxism in Academia

Oh, look: 17% of academics in the social "sciences" identify as Marxists.

Oh, and what are college students being indoctrinated with?

’Communist Manifesto’ appears in more than 3,000 college course syllabi, researchers find
More than 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of the Soviet Union and the onset of market-economy practices in China, “The Communist Manifesto” still ranks among the three most frequently assigned texts at American universities.

You can stop with your "only 500" bullshit.

the left: OMG WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT HE IS

colin kaepernick: *kneels in opposition to imagined police brutality*

the left: OMG SO BRAVE HES SUCH A HERO

"A valedictorian should say something meaningful at a graduation."

They do. Thanking God is meaningful to them. You don't get a say.

The thing is, if you're not offended by having your Marxism pointed out, you're proving the charge correct.
But I'm not a Marxist. That's just your Trumpian arrogant ignorance oozing out again.

In fact, as a 20-year financial advisor/CFP, I'm a better capitalist than you'll ever be.

I understand, appreciate and respect both the strengths AND weaknesses of capitalism.

Capitalism in the hands of a Trumpster is like a loaded pistol in the hands of a toddler.
I was speaking in general, genius. I thought it was obvious. But you got all butthurt.

You shouldn't compare other people to toddlers.

I don't have "personal issues with Christianity," I have issues with the frauds like graham and falwell. Classrooms and courthouses are neutral territory for all religions. They are not places for any religion to proselytize, and some religionists are very aggressive. There have been several lawsuits over school staff trying to proselytize and indoctrinate the kids in their care when the parents aren't there. The Ten Commandments belong to two religions that I know of, and parents of those faiths are free to teach them to their children and take them to their preferred house of worship, as are people of other faiths. I remember that there were Jewish kids in my class before staff-lead prayer was banned, and every day they had to hear the teacher leading the class in the Lord's Prayer. It was only as an adult that I learned that this prayer is only Christian. What was that about?

Showboating is rude and reprehensible. If you want to showboat, go to Broadway.
If you only want to hear the word "god" when it's followed by "damn America", stay at home with your television off.

Or you could learn to control your emotions. No one else is obligated to do it for you.

Yes, it isn't hard to understand how corrupt this world is and how God's voice has grown utterly silent.

We can imagine (some of us can imagine) how life must have been until the 20th century......

Relatively silent where today we are and have been inundated and saturated and overwhelmed by NOISE. Information overload and it was bad enough when we had 3 channels to choose from in the 70s. A radio with limited stations was also overwhelming us with Information overload.

Illustrated by this powerful scene from Network. Sure you have seen it, if not watch it.

Look at how we are now. Just Twitter alone.....thousands of stations.....

NOISE NOISE NOISE

DISTRACTION DISTRACTION DISTRACTION

God's voice, which is loudest in SILENCE is all but completely drowned out. If the giggling never believer leftist wants to try this, go ahead and find a place where you can distance yourself from the DISTRACTIONS of the world. Go there. Far from your phone, far from radio, computers etc. Go there....for 48 hours. No friends no family nothing.

Watch and see what CONSCIENCE REVEALS TO YOU. Won't be easy, but there is glory.

Try it.

What I can see and accurately understand is both sides of an issue.

20 years in my profession teaches me to remain curious and open to anything.

You wouldn't understand. Go back to your radio.
This is the radio station I listen to.

That you believe all conservatives listen to right-wing talk radio says far more about you than it does about me.

So much for your "open to anything" claim. You let your prejudices do your thinking for you.
