One of the photos I saw of actual reservists was literally like a bunch of overweight, vodka-swilling 50-somethings. The 18-24 year olds? They're headed for the border. So Putin's army consists of kids who know they're being sent to a slaughter and 50-somethings who thought their time in the service was up. They're going up against trained killers who are defending their homeland to the death.

Maybe they can become officers as well. Some young recruits have been sent to the front with just one or two days of training. If that's how it works, how many days do you need to become an officer?
