Know Your History: Jews Transforming The Land(NY Times, 1890-1912)

2 days after Israel's Declaration of Independence Arabs were rejecting the term "Palestinian Arabs"

Know Your History: The Jewish And Arab Populations In The Holy Land (NY Times May 16, 1948)

On May 16th, 1948 – two days after Ben Gurion declared the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel – the New York Times ran a piece on the Jewish and Arab populations in the land. And as usual, it is a fascinating look back at the past, from which we can learn a lot.

Note in particular:

  • The area now known as the “West Bank” being referred to by its real name – Judea and Samaria

  • Contrary to the prevailing narrative peddled by the haters, Jews bought Arab land – and the Arabs were more than happy to sell it to them, given the land was arid

  • Mention of the Arabs having been in the land for 1,300 years – an acknowledgement they came with the Islamic conquest of the area in the 7th century (and not earlier as they claim)

  • Mention of Arabs here rejecting the term “Palestinian Arab”, instead seeing themselves as part of ancient Syria

  • How the Jews increased the standard of living for the Arabs, but this only increased anti-Zionist sentiment (believe it or not)
(vide screenshot of NYT article online)
LMAO, note the title, The two worlds of PALESTINE.

You idiots debunk yourselves and it's funny.

LMAO, note the title, The two worlds of PALESTINE.

You idiots debunk yourselves and it's funny.

The title refers to the REGION known as Palestine, and the Mandate for Palestine.

It does not refer to any country the world knew as Palestine at the time, or any population of Arabs referring to themselves as PALESTINIANS.

The article is very clear:

"Mention of Arabs here rejecting the term “Palestinian Arab”, instead seeing themselves as part of ancient Syria"

Yes, it really sounds as if the Arabs were just "dying" for the world to recognize them and call them "Palestinians".

:)

The Two Worlds of Palestine - your article - your failure.

The fact that you distorted my Moniker serves to illustrate you can't counter argue.
I can't blame you for not defending your idiotic OP.

What's to defend?
From post 2: So your argument is that it wasn't that great, so it was open to hostile take over? So, if Oklahoma isn't so great, does that mean Mexico can invade?

That's not even a hypothesis.

:cuckoo:
It is what YOUR ARTICLE CLAIMS, we actually agree here, hence another thread fail.

They have one more thing the Palestinian Arabs will never have ... a deed to the property.

sefer-torah-scroll-on-sale-used-new-2.jpg
That so called deed was invalidated a couple of thousand years ago when the Jews broke the contract. .....

Allah does not break his promises.
It has happened just like to Quran says, the Torah and the New testament says.
In end times they will be returned and they were and they shall prosper which they have.

So your argument is that it wasn't that great, so it was open to hostile take over?

Even someone like you knows that Israel has been a Jewish homeland for 3,000 years. They were their 1,500 years BEFORE the Arabs.

Actually Jews were in ancient Canaan 2400 years before the Arab/Muslim invasion. From Abraham until Mohammad "woke up" due to the Christian "Invasion" spreading their Word and converting Arabs to Christianity.

I like it that Israeli cool has all of those articles which show what was really going on in the Land of Israel via witnesses who wrote books, articles or anything else which totally contradicts the endless Arab/Muslim "Palestinian" narrative of THEM being the indigenous people of the land.

Their own Quran contradicts everything they have been saying for the past 100 years in order to destroy a sovereign Israel.

Know Your History: Jerusalem In 1830 (Travels in Palestine and Syria, George Robinson)

What makes a people "indigenous"?

Can you provide a relevant definition of what makes indigenous from a decent source?

ALL indigenous people are now LAUGHING at you.

And since the Arab "Palestinians" are indigenous of ARABIA, they are also taking a good belly laugh at what you just wrote.

Your avatar looks indigenous to me; for starters.

Can't vouch for the "decent source".

Can't vouch for the "decent source".
Exactly, you would not know a decent source if it kicked you in the nuts. This is why you won't even attempt to defend your idiotic op.

I haven't got any nuts. Other than almonds, at present soaking in water.°

And I'm not going to question the report of a respected newpaper, concerning events which happened long before you (?) or I were born.

How enlightening...... :cuckoo:

This is not about questioning. The premise is idiotic unless you believe as posed in post 2 that...

If Oklahoma isn't so great, that Mexico can invade.

In short, you won't defend your OP because at least on some level you realize the idiocy it vomits.

Very few of the ancestors of Arab Palestinians are from Arabia. Arab is a linguistic and cultural denomination. Think of it like Hispanic. What is hilarious is your poor attempt at propaganda. The Palestinians are descendants of the people that have always lived in Palestine (including Jews) amalgamated with an influx of mostly non-Arabian pilgrims. The Arabians came as rulers, not settlers.
