John 10:37:
“If I am not performing
the works of my Father,
then do not believe me.
However, if I am doing them,
then even if you do not believe me,
at least believe my works,
so that you may realize and understand
that the Father is in me
and I am in the Father.”
Jesus was responding to the claim of being the Messiah by essentially saying don't believe me because I say so,
believe me because of my works that have already proven I am the Messiah by doing what no other man in heaven, on the earth, or under the earth but the Messiah could ever do, speaking WORDS from God revealing the hidden treasures of the kingdom of Heaven, raising the dead, curing the paralyzed, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, faith to the faithless, casting out devils and demons, giving life and ending death, a curse, for all those who eat his flesh, listen to his teaching, and drink his blood, do it.
Life is in the blood, in the doing.
