Just give them some bread and tell them to go away... Just kidding. Have no fear about our poor folks. Obama is going to take all the money away from the rich people and give it to the poor people is such a way as that we will all have an equal amount of money. Then, when the people that manage their money foolishly and have run out of money, we're going to do it all over again!!! Before Obama leaves office in 2012 to return to his heavenly home in Chicago, there will be no more poor people in America. There will also not be any rich people. We will all have just what the government wants us to have. Welcome to socialism.

Democrats want a lot of poor people in this country--it's a huge voting block for them. They can get out there & promise them the moon & the stars--& of course tell them that the "rich" will pay for their new found wealth--& that gets them millions of votes.

Now the rich have to keep people poor as well. You have to have the poor to keep costs low. But everytime I turn around, the companies I have worked for are raising prices. I have seen Walmart raise prices, McDonalds is raising prices but they keep their workers at the same wages. I worked during college (and still do while in grad school) at Captain D's. They have raised the price of one platter at least a dollar over the past year and a half but our wages has stayed the same and the bonuses we were promised have not arrived. Also we have our hours cut because the restaurant has to keep the cost down.

Solving poverty is not going to happen. But the guy did make a good point. If you don't give, the government will give for you (basically). Captain D's decided to fatten their wallet, so now they get taxed because they do not help out their fellow man.

You think maybe that platter going up by a whopping buck might have something to do with things like electric costs tripling in the last couple years, workmans comp insurance rates going up because people that get a papercut milk it for 6 weeks, your employers being forced to run their businesses the way someone else tells them to, etc?
