Zone1 Just a nonconfrontational discussion.

What is obvious is that you don't like him.

You thought he should not be president.

Remind me what it is that you didn't like about him.

Your thread question is a good one. I am going to spend some time thinkin about it.
Why I don't like him would be a good idea for another thread.

You can specify which immoral values his Policys are correcting without name calling. This is a nonconfrontational discussion.
its the immoral policies of the left that caused trump to win,,

some inner reflection will do you some good,,

and dont play that nonconfrontational BS with me,,

your reputation tells us all what we need to know about your intent,,

He is America first.

Now, is Trump the only one who has ethical lapses?

Does Harris?

Biden, Clinton???
There is no shortage of ethical lapses. I'm just not clear on why those who once called themselves the Moral Majority and were agast because Clinton had an affair are willing to ignore trump's lapses. What has he done to deserve your loyalty?

If you’ve read my posts, my opinion of trump should be quite obvious. However, the voters have spoken. My opinion is in the minority. A large part of trump’s support is from Christians/ evangelicals.

I don’t understand that but I would like to. Obviously, Democrats are doing something wrong. Here is your chance to say what that is. Not so long ago, Bill Clinton’s affair with an aid had the Christian community in an uproar. It was often said that our leaders had to have high moral standards, and Clinton’s affair was just not acceptable. The right claimed moral superiority. They even called themselves the Moral majority. However, trump’s multiple dalliances and ethical standards don’t seem to be a problem. It’s not my intention to argue why I don’t think trump is moral enough to deserve support. I just want to understand why so many religious people think he is. What has he done for the religious community to deserve such overwhelming support? I could start a confrontational name calling thread another time. This isn't the place for that. Keep it civil

What are the democrats doing wrong? First they think just like you that its all about Religious right wingers, or racism or the dislike of a woman president. They never look at thier own actions and admit that those actions are harmful to society and that people take notice.
You mention christian evangelicals but you dont mention the uptick in Hispanic voters, Black voters, young women even....

What did they see wrong with the democrat party? ask yourself and it might be a clue. Going way way back now but its not entirely irrelevant to teh discussion. Cesar Chavez the Laborers' rights Icon, was against Illegal aliens even though he himself was Mexican. Why? because those workers lowered the wages of the people that he was representing.

The Democrats leave many Americans feeling like they have no representation. Like their needs are only mentioned in passing to get thier votes but then the Democrats are off doing something else for someone else. They are seen as out of touch, and probably for good reason.

I will pipe in and say that most Christians vote Republican.
Most non-christians vote Democrat.
However, I got a feeling that there's a lot more non-christians in this country than Christians. Seems like there's a lot more people in walmarts, football stadiums, and their own homes on Sundays than in churches.
And as for immorality, it exists on both sides.
So I will kindly debunk your synopsis that Trump won due to the evangelical vote.
I believe Trump won for 3 reasons:
1. The economy.
2. The border crisis.
3. The Democrats ran the wrong candidate.
The Biden/Harris administration was simply incompetent and disconnected. Both sides knew this. The American people knew it. It started with the mismanaged pullout of Afghanistan, and never really recovered.
IMO, if the Democrats had chosen a candidate that was not directly connected with Biden/Harris, they would had a much stronger showing vs Trump.
Cheers.

I'm not calling you names. If you don't want to explain why he deserves your loyalty, then don't.

I would think that the day after you get your ass handed to you you would do some self reflection instead of going straight to poking sticks at the tiger that just bit your ass,,

youre dismissed,,

I never said it was all about religious right wingers. I am curious as to why they support him so strongly.

Ummmm.... they are all doing it wrong. You can't get to a national debt of 31T+ with just one party.

You don't believe Democrats aren't making moral arguments? Do I really need to list them?

The evangelical vote was a large part of his support. That's why I directed the question directly to them. Other groups deserve their own thread. I'm just wondering what it is that attracts religious people so strongly.

We all know he hand-picked Supreme Court Justices who would guarantee to end Roe v Wade. I can see how that is a big checkmark in his column. What else?

He's not going to force the LGBT agenda on them, he's not going to try to teach their children the pride agenda

Your side isn't pushing tolerance, you are pushing forced acceptance.

I think what you are missing is that Trump carried more traditional Democrat voters this time than he did in 2020. So was that Trump's populist message or was it that they didn't agree with Harris' messaging or was it a little bit of both? The support from the evangelical right was the same. Trump didn't win because of evangelicals. He won because of Democrats.

So why do you think that was?
