Judge halts White House construction

Not really an accurate representation of Biden’s policy and was actually struck down in court if I remember correctly.

Obamacare is a law, silly. That’s what the law said.

Congress passed no law saying to demolish the east wing and build a massive ballroom.
So forcing people to do something against their will is constitutional. If you agree with it?

Are you comparing a basketball court with demolishing the east wing to build a ballroom the size of an airline hanger?

Right now we entertain foreign dignitaries and our own celebrated citizens in tents.

Wouldn't a grand ballroom be more fitting for a Nation such as ours?

The historical part of the White House is the Executive Mansion, the rest is working space.

There is no way that construction will be ending. Past presidents had additions to the White House. An obscure federal judge will not stop it.

A federal judge on Tuesday ordered construction of the White House ballroom project halted, siding with a historic preservation group that argued the effort violated federal law.

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon said the group is likely to succeed on the merits of its case, writing that "no statute comes close to giving the President the authority he claims to have," according to the ruling.

The injunction temporarily stops work on the project, though the judge delayed enforcement for 14 days to allow the White House time to appeal.

Comment:
This is just the Far Left trying to harass Trump.
They have already turn down the east wing.
What do they want them to do; rebuild it?
Past presidents have built swimming pools, bowling alleys, basket ball courts.....
The ballroom will allow presidents to host big events year-round instead of hosting events in tents on the lawn with portapottys.
I find it interesting that they claim "historic preservation" for new construction when there is nothing left of what was there. How do you preserve for history something that isn't there anymore? If they wanted to claim historic preservation they should have done so before the old part was torn down. At least that would have been "historic preservation".

Kudos to the judge for standing up for the rule of law. Trump does not own the WH. It belongs to the American people. The judge was right to slap Trump down,
Will you still be saying that when a future court overturns this?

Yeah, let's leave a hole in the ground and Dems can take over and then spend 10x the money using taxpayer dollars to build something.

This ruling is likely to be tossed as national security is also involved.

LOL Rule of law, when Biden imported 12+ million mostly illiterate third worlders, and Dems are fighting tooth and nail to keep them here.
We would want to preserve for history a hole in the ground.

Oil is above $100 a barrel. We are in a major war and rocketing towards recession. The deficit is out of control.

People are paying $4 gas and can't afford to buy cars or houses any more.
AND THIS IS WHAT TRUMP IS WORRYING ABOUT.

Barry built a basket ball court.

Shortly after taking office, President Obama had the White House tennis court adapted so it could be used for both tennis and basketball. The White House has had a smaller outdoor court since 1991, but the adapted tennis court allows enough room for a full court game of basketball. The new court has played host to a number of distinguished visitors, from college basketball championship teams to Wounded Warrior players.

Settle down clown.

We’re not in a major war and not heading for recession.
