Construction of a ballroom and presidential bunker at the White House will continue for now, after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia granted an administrative stay of an order earlier this week that blocked most above-ground construction.

The next hearing in the case is set for June 5, according to the court's briefing schedule, so construction will likely continue through at least then.

Boy, they are getting these appeals through in record time these days. I guess everyone is getting tired of liberal District Court judge shenanigans.

After a certain percentage of the construction is completed it will be legally impossible to stop it.

It is all bull. They have no right to be blocking this, many presidents have done similar things, and Trump is doing it all with private funds, so there is no need to even get Congress involved.

Had the ballroom already been built, they would have far better security and last night at the Correspondence Dinner never would have happened because there would be no need to use a public hotel.

This ballroom is going to be glorious and beautiful.

That's the part that had to be driving them nuts.... They don't control the money.

That has been one of Trump's crowning actions, he is as often as he can simply circumventing democrat's ability to have any say in what he does, forcing them to either watch from the sidelines or to take extraordinary actions using legally specious and challengable means like district court judges to try to wring in Trump.

Even in Virginia, they won the redistricting (for now), but even at that, it cost them 70 million dollars in advertisement and even at that, they just got it passed by a shave.

It has been stopped by the VA SC and oddly enough that bunch of judges leans liberal.
They still stopped it.
