Let's face it: there's no good reason to deny the construction of the ballroom.

The ballroom is being built, loser.

Accept your defeat.

Not yet.

The only work proceeding is the below grade work. Whether above grade work and proceed without Congressional approvel is in the appeal process.

Even if built the next President can tear it down or repurpose it. What Trump can do, the next President can undo.

And a current POTUS can build a beautiful ballroom with security down below. What is your point? Oh yeah, you're a TDS loon.
The security component of the ballroom is a means by which trump is trying to skirt the law. The WH already has secure bunkers.

Not betting on whether it will be built or not, but... but I will make a bet on both conditions (a) ballroom being built and (b) some future President not changing it.

So sure, I'll make a reaslist bet based on future actions on the condition that the Trump momument ballroom is built.

#1 If the currently proposed 90,000 trump current ballroom is built without Congressional approval. Subsequent scalling down the ballroom or future Congressional approval voids the bet.

#2 A future DEM President either levels the 90,000 square/foot ballroom or repurposes it to some other usage including. Such as a smaller ballroom with some areas reconfigured for other purposes, maybe, (a) office space, (b) security checkpoints, and/or a White House muesum. I said the "next President can" which is true, but now we need measureable scope for the bet. So the time frame is 3 DEM President's, which could be 12 to 24 years depending on reelection.

So I accept the bet under realistic conditions. Bookmark this post and let me know if you are able to collect and want to collect after 3 DEM Presidents.

You might have better uses for YOUR $400 million.
.

That's the part you aren't getting.

It's a shell game. Trump "supposedly" already has the $400 million in donations remember. The MAGA claim is the ballroom doesn't cost taxpayers a dime.

Currently the donors bribe Trump - ah I mean - "donate" the money to the US Treasurey ear marked, the money then goes to the Park Service, who then give it to the White House for the new building.

The problem is that 40 USC 8106 requries Congressional approval to erect a building on government property in DC. Something Trump currently doesn't have.

So here is the shell game, the donors bribe Trump - ah I mean - "donate" the money to the US Treasurey ear marked, the money then goes to the park service, who then give it to the White House but with the legislation (if it passes) Congress has authorized the Construction.

The legislation isn't really about paying for it, the claim will still be it won't cost the taxpayers since the money was "donated", it provides legal cover to show compliance with the building law.

So, you wimp out and think proposing an open ended wager will save your humiliation?

How brave of you to propose a bet 24 years out.:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

Run along punk, you obviously have no balls to drop.

How much of that money did the President get from you?

A President can tear down what he wants
Didn’t you realize that?
Of course, and he can build what he wants. In this case, one president is building something badly needed and doesn't cost the taxpayers anything while you want another one to throw a temper tantrum, make foreign dignitaries meet in a tent and give the taxpayers the bill.

Good luck making everyone think that's a great idea.

Sure, try to convince everyone that's a great idea when you give them the bill they have to pay for your temper tantrum.

Congressional Republicans rally around Trump’s White House ballroom project

A trio of Senate Republicans on Monday announced they will introduce legislation authorizing $400 million in federal funding to build President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom in the wake of a shooting incident that disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend.

Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Katie Britt, R-Ala., and Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., said they were introducing the bill to fund a project that is vital to national security.

A privately funded ballroom no more.

A future president can declare the TRUMP ballroom a waste of space and have it torn down

Since taxpayer funds were not used to build it, who cares if it gets torn down?

Why do YOU care?
You will never be invited

Because we would have to pay for your temper tantrum.

Won’t cost you a cent
Mexico will pay for it
Even Canada will help tear it down
Letting foreign countries decide what buildings we keep and which ones we tear down because of a petty temper tantrum, nice.

By the way, be sure to let the foreign dignitaries know it was you that made them hang out in the tent.
