Biden withdrawal is a massive failure but it was going to be no matter the President because Afghanistan is a backwards nation that can never change.

Also Biden is not a Dove and those proclaiming success in this mess are just lying hacks!

He couldn't, because he was involved in one of the previous admins that "failed in Afghanistan". As soon as he would have said that, his 8 years in the Obama regime would have been dug through and everything he ever did or said to support Obama's policies would have come to light. This isn't the 90's any more, where politicians could depend on short memories to get away with switching positions.

If they are not blaming Joe, they are blaming Barrack for not doing it sooner...

Joe voted to go into Afghan to get AQ not to stay and build a country... He was against the 2009 surge.

Trump made the timeline for leaving and Biden would have just weeks to get everyone out by April when he came in...

Biden was left with a choice:

1. Break the agreement and pump in about 50+k troops for years.
2. Screw this, bring the guys home and leave them at it...

He choose option 2... He will campaign on that... Anyone wanting to campaign on option 1 is more than welcome...

Republicans have boxed themselves in.
They will not be able to tout Donald Trump regarding his alleged anti war stance advantage against Joe Biden.
By highlighting that Joe Biden is leaving Afghanistan, voters will perceive Biden as more of a dove as they did before.
And this is good because Biden had always been haunted by his vote for the Iraq war. But now it's about Afghanistan.
Biden is laughing as we speak.
