Back in the Middle Ages, it was supposedly the Jews who committed this pilferage. In the modern day the dastardly deed of sacrilege is usually ascribed to Satanists. Both groups, BTW, "admitted" to the deed. The former under torture, the latter to honk off Christians.
But neither non-Catholic group believes in any of these dogmas, so why would they bother?
Considering the fact that they could just buy unblessed communion bread for a reasonable price.
