'Trrrruuuuuuuuuuuump!'

:auiqs.jpg:

Today turned out pretty much as expected. The big “tell all” about the Biden family was a big nothing burger, just more vague allegations, and suggestions of corruption, without a shred of evidence to support it and nothing tying any of it to Joe Biden.

There are records of money going into an account and copies of checks going out of the accounts and that’s it. No, supporting documentation, invoices or explanation for the purposes of the payments.

They could be investor profits, they could be repayment of shareholder’s loans, they could be payments for invoices rendered, stock sales, directors fees.

And you were all so hopeful and certain that Comey wouldn’t fuck this up.

Actually, a short record of being accused to perjury and never tried, and one complaint from a former landlord.

Actually, multiple complaints from former associates. This woman has operated under multiple names to avoid process servers.

Then Clinton must be double-done, since he actually had to pay off the woman he dropped his pants in front of after having a state trooper bring her to him.
you mean after a judge ruled her claims as having no merit, Clinton's insurance company paid her off to not have to spend millions on appeals. What you forget was that when Jones settled for a fraction of what she was asking for, she had to drop her insistence on an apology.

Why do Democrats always attack the victims of sexual assault by their politicians. Mary Jo Kopechne got the same treatment.

Bullshit!

If I'm falsely accused that publicly, I'm not going to make a guilty move like paying the accuser off. No man who leads so many would admit to something he didn't do when accused by a person who lacks credibility.

The judge that sided with the sexual harrasser was Susan Webber Wright. Look her up and you'll see why she did it.

Did she? I don't recall any Democrat saying anything bad about the poor woman. It was Republicans who speculated endlessly on her having an affair with Kennedy.

As for attacking Victims, let's not forget you guys went after Anita Hill and Susan Blassy Ford. So I won't take your high horse very seriously.

Actually, let's review, because you clearly don't have a good legal mind.

April 1st, 1998, Judge Susan Weber Wright dismissed Paula Jones' lawsuit as having no merit because Jones could not show any economic damage from Clinton's action, as clinton was not her supervisor and no action was taken against her professionally. She just realized she wasn't going to get promoted to head possum catcher and quit.

On April 22nd, the Supreme Court ruled in Ellerth v. Burlington that merely creating a hostile work environment was enough to constitute sexual harassment. This gave Jones' lawyer an avenue to appeal the case. But a slim one. The cost of litigating it would take years AND would cost millions of dollars (The Clintons were already 10 million in debt from legal fees from various RW witch hunts), So they could either settle with Jones or appeal, probably winning but still spending millions.

Clinton had nothing left to prove, now all he was doing was settling a nusicence lawsuit. Once Jones dropped her demand for an admission and an apology, that's really kind of all it took.

Um, yeah, because Jones had no case under the law. That's why she did it.

Even if you get past the legal issue of a "He-said, She-said", it didn't constitute sexual harassment. Jones didn't work for the Governor's office. She was not demoted, denied opportunities, etc.

The worst thing she claimed happened to her is that they put her down the hall, but that's because she spent half her day gossiping with the other workers.

I think it’s absolutely wonderful to have a Time magazine piece come out and see exactly the same thing I’ve been saying here all day.

Thank you for that link.
I had an aunt who talked Progressive Socialist 24 hours a day and whose comments were cutting. She lived though as traditional as you can get. In the hood I grew up in she lived close to my family. When the first African Americans moved into the hood, she moved. Did not wait for the near decade for it to be changed. When the crime and some personal threats arrived for my parents, they moved several years later. I know many people who moved in were good and trying to live a good life. It does not take much to ruin it for all.

I lived in downtown Toronto for 30 years. 45% of the population of Toronto is white and 55% is not. In the very middle class neighbourhood where my daughter started school, our school newsletter came home in 19 different languages. My neighbourhood poker game was 1/3 Asian, 1/3 white and 1/3 black.

There are ethnic enclaves all over the city, which is great for immigrant families just arriving in Canada. There’s probably a community from their nation somewhere in town. But there are people from other races, other faiths other nations living all around them. Making it easier for them to assimilate.

Since moving to the country, the hardest thing for me to get you used to, is a lack of diversity. Coming home from my neighbourhood poker game here, my ride home asked what I thought of their “very diverse group of players”. Um, they’re all straight, white, CIS gendered middle class, Christians. Nice folks, not diverse at all.
