It was doing fine before the Covid scam for what that is worth. Decades ago, legislation to open us up in trade deals we lived by that government interference and adjusted to living beyond our means. That was because when we had massive manufacturing capabilities we priced ourselves out of manufacturing with unions to greedy and taxes that kept rising to make us not competitive with other nations. Pay a good wage. Not an insane one.
