Zone1 is there anything you like about the Catholic church?

I like the concept of Purgatory because I do believe that Roman Catholics are more willing to take near death experience accounts seriously and learn from them.

I do believe that Roman Catholics were a driving force behind the success of the book and movie "Heaven is for Real" about the NDE of little Colton Burpo that was done by his Nazarene Pastor Todd Burpo. Many Protestant churches were too skeptical of that powerful book and movie.

Roman Catholics also tended to back up former Atheist Howard Storm.

(1) If I were ever to join a church, it would be the Roman Catholic Church.

(2) Some of its rituals would give me great comfort.

(3) I refer to the saints and relics and miracles.

(4) I also think it is nice that most priests still wear the collar and many nuns still wear the traditional clothing of nuns. (On public transportation, I assume that most riders would immediately stand and offer their seats to a priest or nun in order to show their respect.)

(5) I also think of the excellent education that many people have received over the years at Catholic schools.

From what I have seen of near death experience accounts I believe that when you eventually review your life you will see where your words inspired somebody to go off in a totally different direction, basically away from darkness and toward light, love and ultimate truth.

The first step in the right direction is extremely important.

Although the Roman Catholic Church behaved terribly during The Dark Ages, Catholics seem to be determined to not repeat the type of dogmatism and overly simplistic thinking that their leaders had centuries ago.

I have the feeling that Pope Leo has a powerful calling on his life that is a new beginning for Roman Catholics, for all Christians, and for all nations and religions.

There is an ancient Roman Catholic prophecy that Pope Francis was the last "Pope" which I take to mean that Messiah Yeshua Jesus is grabbing Pope Leo to be one of his own. I believe that he will not be like a mere monarch or President. He will be guided by the Holy Spirit and will fear his Creator.
