Is the Chirren Learning

Yeah that would be a big fat no. Can we admit public schools need some fixing? Public schools are turning out the ignoramus's needed to destroy the country.
Teachers love failure or don't want to admit it or they aren't allowed to tech....which is it

And yet 85% are failing in MN....great job....amiright

Many years ago there was something about how several other countries kids were so far ahead of US in education levels that put us on a fast track to catch up or exceed them.......
What I remember is that kids in other nations were on track to catch up or surpass us.

Our students are continually falling behind those of other industrialized nations.

How does that matter that much? Seriously.
Population of district? Big ******* whoop.
85% is a supermajority.
He has a habit of asking dumb questions. They come one after another

I guess proof is needed.

Idiots even can disagree when they are proven wrong by citing facts.

Our students are falling farther and farther behind foreign students. Somehow this needs to change.

Liberals have destroyed our public education system. That destruction accelerated when the Democrats created the federal department of education.

From your link.
We have compiled the numbers for every school district in the state, and assigned grades based on the percentage of kids who can read at grade level in the third grade. In education circles, this is a well-recognized benchmark. So, using a conventional grading system, it takes 60% to pass. School districts where fewer than 60% of third graders can read, fail. By that measure, 85% of Minnesota’s school districts get an F.

This is old news. A big part of the problem is that the teachers union has negotiated strong protections for substandard teachers. School districts don’t have the power to get rid of theses teachers even if they wanted to.

People going into the field are not among the brightest college students. That’s another glaring problem.

Well many good prospects when they see even a veteran teachers salary they laugh. Thats not going to get one wealthy by any measures. 60 thousand after 20 years? Thats a joke.

No one goes into teaching to get rich. Some people follow their calling for reasons other than wealth.
