I worked in inner city schools in Phila. Teachers unions single mothers no father are the main cause of poor public schools. Private schools do a much better job and cost less.

I ran an after school soccer program in the Phila school system and two private schools. The private schools were far superior. Even the buildings were better. The public schools were dark and depressing.
Your first response is mostly true in the inner-city school where I taught. The second part about vouchers does not work. You cannot make chicken salad out of chicken shit!
