Zone1 Is It A Sin For Christians To Be Afraid?

As I know that the Bible says "do not fear," but I don't think that in itself is a sin. I think that it only becomes a sin when you let it stop you from doing what's right. The perfect example of this being not fearing death especially after what happened to Charlie Kirk of continuing to share the gospel as this is what I'm currently struggling with. I might know where I'm going after I die, but that doesn't mean that I'm not afraid of being murdered for sharing the truth (not just what I believe) with people.
Good points. Fear itself is normal but you are also correct that if we ask to be given more and more of the Holy Spirit so that we conquer our fears, then that will be great.

Often the best public speakers, fear public speaking. Near death experiencer Kevin Zadai is an example of an exceptionally good public speaker, [in my opinion anyway], but he admits that he does not want to speak in public but instead does so out of a sense of duty and obedience to Messiah Yeshua - Jesus.

Well, there is fear of public speaking and FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING. Here's the think about public speaking, fear can help with focusing better. Too much fear causes myopic vision or tunnel vision which limits what we can see and do. The Biblical "Fear God" isn't that kind of fear. This fear is focus more on God and live.

I don't think it is a sin to experience the emotion of fear. God gave us that emotion to help us make wise decisions, including being "God fearing" which is the beginning of wisdom.

It can become sinful, if it becomes an indulgance that turns our minds away from God and/or the work that God blesses us with. I think it happens more often that people indulge in worry, which I believe more quickly becomes a sin because it is based on deliberate contemplation of events beyond our control.

Hank Williams said it best:

Just like a blind man, I wandered along
Worries and fears I claimed for my own

Yes, there is a level of fear that can make us incapable of doing what we know that we need to do.

Charlie Kirk went a little overboard.
