Increase in severe weather events and the cost of those events

185 mph winds, 892 pressure. Jamaca is taking a serious hit.

It reached 200 mph winds at landfall has rapidly degraded to 130 mph forecasted to decline from now on and stay far out into the Atlantic.

Severe weather events are taking a toll worldwide. In the US they have substantially increased in both costs and number of events in recent years.

The earth is 4.6bn years old.
Life has been around 3.7bn years.
Mankind has experienced 0.004% of the earth's journey.

So a maths question - What percentage of earth's time have we suffered from silly little people over the last few decades pump out silly little graphs?

It REPORTEDLY reached 200 mph winds at landfall has rapidly degraded to 130 mph forecasted to decline from now on and stay far out into the Atlantic.

There, fixed for you...

What is lacking?

Any visual evidence that a Cat 5 hit, because they photos show Cat 1 style, not Cat 5 style damage....

Homo Sap has been around for about 300,000 years. For only about 15,000 years of that have we done any real technological things. And only for about the last 200 years have we been burning huge amounts of fossil fuels. Yet in those two small centuries we have managed to warm the surface of the Earth about 1.5 degrees C. Now I realize that graphs are well beyond your comprehension level, as is basic science. Just because you are incapable of understanding something does not mean that the rest of humanity is also incapable of that understanding.

LOL All you fixed was the fact that you are obviously incapable of seeing reality. Ah well, like the man said, we will always have fools with us.

That's not a photo of "Cat 5" damage, same as you can't show us a photo of "ocean rise" either...

The reality is that there is no shortage of idiots like you that will deny reality to support your dumb ass partisan political views.

Spoken like a true religious zealot ...

assuming we just count temps from the surface of growing urban areas, because the non urban areas show ZERO warming as do ATMOSPHERE and OCEANS...

Bullshit the raise in temp has been the same and not man made

Yet in those two small centuries we have managed to warm the surface of the Earth about 1.5 degrees C.

Completely forgetting the simple fact that two centuries ago we were deep inside the "Little Ice Age", when temperatures were on average 1-2 c lower than they were previously. And that temperatures today are almost 2 c lower than they were during the Medieval Warm Period.

As I often find myself repeating, any claims of a "temperature difference" are completely negated when the baseline is one established during a period of record cooling in the past 10k years.

The reality is, that we are only now reaching what temperatures were before the LIA started, and are still below the even higher temperatures of the Medieval Warm Period or the Roman Warm Period.

Yeah as this chart among a few from this LINK shows that the world has been cooling over all for around 3,500 years, there is a step DOWN cooling around 1100 year at a time.
