Tugs are primarily used in ports and rivers. Yes, there are ocean going models, and they are larger, so it will be a while before they are electric.

You silly people said EV's would never become common. As the batteries power density increases, there will be more and more transportation powered by electricity. Simple economics. Also, there is no Straight of Hormuz for generating electricity.
