You bring up many good points about diversity quotas in TV and movies. You're right. When was the last time you can say you saw an all white family in a commercial?

It happens. And sometimes it is an all black family. The thing is that 99% of the time, it is being forced, planned, engineered now as an artificial construct for society to reflect rather than the other way around of commercials actually reflecting society as it should be. It is a subtle form of psyops.

In reality, it was an exaggeration in that if the job required the white guy as a qualified candidate, it likely wouldn't have also been interviewing a chicken-chomping brother in a dirty tee shirt with bows in his hair from the hood, it would have been a black guy with similar education and pedigree--- they are actually out there. Black folk get educated too.

Where the equity or AA comes into play would be the two of them both being similarly qualified but the black guy getting picked BECAUSE he was black! Reverse discrimination. The argument follows that because it was done to blacks in the past, it is only fair now to equally discriminate the OTHER way! Which of course is equally bunk as well. Discrimination is still discrimination no matter how it is done.
