Republicans are just as guilty as Democrats. I would say more guilty. Republicans have not been for smaller Government since Reagan left office. Well there was a brief period when the Contract for America was the propaganda.

Republicans are using the CDC and FDA to limit pain medications. This has caused severe suffering by people in chronic pain. The DEA requires a Drug test for people who are getting pain medications. This test is given every time the patient shows up. This test can only be run by certain authorized labs and costs about a hundred bucks each time.

Doctors have to justify their prescriptions to people who are not Doctors. This is to help restrict Opioids. Yet despite the fact that less than two percent of the overdose deaths are prescription related we have to stop proscribing them.

Republicans are always in favor of bigger and more intrusive NSA and FBI surveillance. Unless they are the ones targeted. But even with the abuses now exposed which Republicans are demanding reform and restricted activity? None. They called on the Federal Agents abusing the system to stop it.

Republicans pushes the E-911 system that required GPS chips in your phone. Those same Republicans argued that the FBI should have access because the user of the phone has no reasonable expectation of Privacy.

They require Banks to collect tons of personal data. And then require the banks to surrender the information to LEO’s. You surrendered the information voluntarily and have no expectation of privacy.

Their argument is that you are not required to have a cell phone or bank account. But if you have cash the Same Republicans say it proves you are doing illegal things and demand the money through Civil Forfeiture.

Republicans are not for Smaller less intrusive Government. They are in favor of having the power themselves.

I have pain pills prescribed to me on a regular basis for the last several years. Last year was the first year I had to be drug tested and will be tested on an annual basis. I don't know of those suffering in pain because they can't get pain meds.

Now, because of the opiate crisis, there have been stricter guidelines imposed, it was a House Bill in 2018 and approved by the Senate and the President and received wide bipartisan support. You blaming just Republicans is a cop out on your part. It has taken both parties to pass any bills for the last several years, so anything out there is Dem or GOP is a piece of fiction.
