This is just an informative post to let us all know where things will stand, if and when Roe v Wade is overturned:

Here's where states stand, according to Guttmacher:
  • Alabama: Pre-Roe ban, near-total ban, state Constitution bars protection
  • Arizona: Pre-Roe ban
  • Arkansas: Pre-Roe ban, trigger ban, near-total ban
  • Georgia: Six-week ban
  • Idaho: Trigger ban, six-week ban
  • Iowa: Six-week ban
  • Kentucky: Trigger ban, six-week ban
  • Louisiana: Trigger ban, near-total ban, six-week ban, state Constitution bars protection
  • Michigan: Pre-Roe ban
  • Mississippi: Pre-Roe ban, trigger ban, six-week ban
  • Missouri: Trigger ban, eight-week ban
  • North Dakota: Trigger ban, six-week ban
  • Ohio: Six-week ban
  • Oklahoma: Pre-Roe ban, trigger ban (effective November 1, 2021), near-total ban, six-week ban
  • South Carolina: Six-week ban
  • South Dakota: Trigger ban
  • Tennessee: Trigger ban, six-week ban, state Constitution bars protection
  • Texas: Pre-Roe ban, trigger ban, six-week ban
  • Utah: Trigger ban, near-total ban
  • West Virginia: Pre-Roe ban, state Constitution bars protection
  • Wisconsin: Pre-Roe ban
  • Wyoming: Trigger ban
According to the institute, four other states – Florida, Indiana, Montana and Nebraska – have indicators that they could likely ban abortion as soon as possible without federal protections.

States with protections on abortions

Sixteen states and the District of Columbia have laws that protect the right to abortion, according to Guttmacher.
Here are the states with protections:

  • Colorado: Throughout pregnancy

  • Delaware: Prior to viability
  • District of Columbia: Throughout pregnancy
  • Hawaii: Prior to viability
  • Illinois: Prior to viability

Here is a report on abortion rates by race in each state, some states did not report and as racist as some of the GOP on this board it would seem to me they would want to leave the law in place. Something to point out in many more red states than blue white's had more reported abortion but all 50 states women of color averaged more.

Although I would not want anyone in my family ever having an abortion it would be there choice just as receiving a covid vaccine or wearing a mask is a person's choice as most of kids and grandkids chose and yes I did go around them and that was my choice

. Now the argument of abortion is taking a life well in many cases of a covid death the choice not to vaccine or wear masks could have taken someone's life. You can't differentiate on choice, it just doesn't make any sense.

At the end of no abortion the respective states will have to take care of these babies and some for the rest of their lives.

I guess because of my age and my kids never even considered an abortion and I doubt the female grandkids ever will I really don't care if RvsW is or is not overturned. I listed the above simply to make one think.

Good. Now, let's see if the women in the Taliban states have enough self-respect and are mad enough to kick out the Trumptards.
Civilizations get to a level of wealth and destroy themselves. All of this based on that and now we have a declining standard of living for a growing percentage of the population.

Speak for yourself. I am doing fine. Maybe, you trumptards need to get a job and quit whining?

And here's what that looks like, using RCP's electoral map. Deep red means a State Constitution ban, and pink means they're likely, according to your link.

No surprises here, really, except maybe Kansas.

...Or just do it by mail?

The neo-fascist authoritarian right is already making efforts to criminalize receiving medication via the mail.

I haven't talked to every single woman on this planet, so no idea. Have you?

Yet you speak as if they are monolithic block, like there are no women in these States voting for abortion restrictions.

How are these states able to limit, regulate, restrict, and even ban abortions?
Roe v Wade gives them that power.
The right to an abortion is neither absolute or unlimited.
