If any individual compared themselves to Jesus, what would you think of them?

I'm wondering how many Christians would see this as blasphemy.

Also wondering how many Catholics would have a problem with Trump threatening the Pope.

"Shortly after his Truth Social post, Trump doubled down on his anti-Leo comments while speaking to reporters in front of Air Force One on Sunday night."

Also wondering whether threatening genocide is "pro-Christian" or not, based on the Noah's Ark story where God basically commits genocide would make genocide "pro-Christian".
As a Christian I’d call them my brother in Christ

We all try to live as Jesus would, so often compare our self to him

I hope that you start looking towards Jesus and compare your lifestyle and choices to his. Maybe then you’ll be free from the bonds of Demafascim and hate

Peace be with you, I pray for you

That isn't the point.

When Trump posts something, there's a reason for it.

If it goes around, and Trump doesn't post it, then it's just people being dicks.

When Trump posts it, it's because he wants people to think he's some kind of ******* Jesus (did Jesus get BJs from 13 year olds???? Not sure)

Name one president who has posted the sort of shit Trump posts.... there isn't one.

Because Trump is the WORST ******* PRESIDENT EVER.
Roy Rogers called. He wants you to quit riding his horse just to get Triggered.

A Republic Is Representation Without Participation. The Citizens Are Only Spectators.

A government limited by referendums. Another idea for self-determination is that when we file income taxes, we can apportion what Departments our tax money goes to.
You are free to run for office. and vote. What else is there?

If I were looking for a reason to be offended, I would pick an organization like the RCC that demands tithes from its poorest members while telling them that a human organization, rather than Jesus, gives them the path to salvation.

But since I don't make a life out of hoping to be offended, I don't care what they do.

I've been a Catholic for two years, and no one has ever demanded a dime from me, or even asked for money, much less a tithe.

The bishop encourages giving at his yearly appeal, but I've never given to it, because I know a bunch of that money goes to the guy in the pointy hat in Rome.

There are a lot of lies out there about the RCC.

As I ssid, I dont really care. What the Catholic Church does is not my business.

I would take a dim view of the Pope encouraging illegal immigration, but that part is my business.

Anyway, if the church no longer asks the poor for tithes, I applaud that change. It has been almost 40 years since I was engaged to a Catholic young lady. Saint Ann's on Westheimer in Houston sent her family a flyer enouraging them to tithe 10% of the wedding costs with a warning to "be honest with the Lord."

Ladies and gentlemen...the above is a prime example of: How to say "I'm in a cult" without saying you're in a cult
Nonsense.

I happen to see that image as one constituting the original artist’s effort to analogize President Trump to Jesus. But that doesn’t mean that President Trump saw it the same way.

By the way Cornhole, you are in a cult.

Oh go to hell.

Nazi Germany was predominantly Christian (54% Protestant, 41% Catholic in 1939), and many Nazis initially justified their beliefs through Christian doctrine. However, the Nazi leadership promoted "Positive Christianity"—an Aryanized, anti-Semitic version of the faith—while aiming to eventually eliminate traditional church influence in favor of Nazi ideology.

Well said.

That's a bizarre tale you related, and if I ever heard of such a tacky thing happening in my church, I'd flip my lid.

The church will accept gifts in appreciation, but that "Be honest with the Lord" crap would enrage me. Probably would enrage my priest as well.

When I had a priest drive 30 miles one way and back to bless my home, I made a generous gift to the church. That's just acceptable etiquette to show the priest you appreciate him taking his time and going out of his way to see to your spiritual needs.

Thanks for sharing that.
