How worried are R's about the ACA premium hike backlash? This worried.

Yep. They're given distorted information 24/7/365 by the voices they trust, so any attempt at independent thought produces warped absurdities like that.

We are about to finally see the long-promised 'TrumpCare' (that has been touted as "terrific!", covering "everybody!", and at "less cost!") conferred upon Americans through the auspices of the blowhard, aided and abetted by Republicans controlling Congress.

Of course, when the public reacts, the blowhard will again be pleading impotence, a victim of his nefarious and wily predecessors.

The ACA is obviously unaffordable for many, thus the subsidies and then the enhanced COVID subsidies that now, all of a sudden, we can’t do without. In other words, the ACA is a failure. Why can’t you dotards understand that?

Let's assume you're right (even though you aren't) that the ACA is a failure. Why haven't R's come up with a replacement plan?

Because the Constitution doesn't give the power to provide healthcare to the federal govt, Simp.

The ACA is one of the most successful programs in U.S. government history. But to understand that, one must know the true purposes for which it was designed:

1) Make more Americans more dependent on government, particularly government as provider of goods and services, and

2) Enrich health insurance providers who are large political donors.

The first guarantees that politicians will not end or replace the ACA, but only throw more and more money at it, so that providers can keep raising prices.

The second allowed revenue for insurance providers to go from $16.9B profits in 2010 to $60.7B in 2021.

Polititians on "both sides" are massively financed by insurerers.

It ain't going nowhere.

It isn't their responsibility.

It isn't their responsibility.
If an aspect of national health policy has failed it isn't the R's, who by 2028 will have had control of the WH for 8 of the last 12 years, and Congress for part of that time, it's not their responsibility to come up with a fix?

Nope.

Were SS and Medicare/caid similarly designed? Or were they created to fill a need? Cynicism and a conspiratorial nature has once again clouded your already questionable judgement.

Id bet the subsidies will be extended. Thats the most likely outcome.

Notice how the potentially proposed two year extension gets them past the election?
I've been saying for a while now that I believe Trump's replacement for Obamacare all this time has been universal health care. He's always been in favor of UHC. He has spoken in favor of UHC countless times, and even demanded it in one of his books.

Because he has always been, and always will be, a far left limousine liberal New York Democrat. A socialist.

This subsidy extension will get him through the mid-terms, and then I will not be the least surprised if he drop the UHC bomb on America.

And two milliseconds later, the entire Trump cult will jump on board and say they have always been in favor of UHC.

Even if Trump does not drop the UHC bomb, he and the Republican Party have made UHC inevitable through their deliberate lies about having an Obamacare replacement and allowing health care costs to skyrocket more and more every year as America suffers.

UHC is just a matter of time now. Thanks to Trump and his cult.

.

So are you saying you believe it is the job of the federal government to ONLY collect taxes from people without offering anything in return?
There are legitimate services that government provides.

Healthcare isn't one of them.

******* over 12+ million people in your own voter base might not be the greatest idea, eh?

I guess we can all look forward to British Teeth, Canadian wait times, and Belgium assisted suicide.

UHC countries are turning away from "Gender-Affirmation" for children, i.e. banning it since they control medical choices. The American profit motive is what drove the explosion of it here.

Of course it is. It may be the most important one.

Frustrated Republicans move to force Obamacare vote as warnings mount about the midterms

A group of House Republicans moved to force a vote on extending Obamacare health insurance subsidies that will expire in just three weeks, directly challenging party leaders who appear determined to let them lapse.

At least six Republicans signed a discharge petition filed Wednesday on a bill authored by Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) and Jared Golden (D-Maine) that would extend the expiring tax credits for two years while imposing new eligibility requirements. The subsidies are currently used by more than 20 million Americans.

It absolutely is

Nope, guaranteed healthcare is not in the US Constitution. You are confusing us with countries like Sweden and Brazil. ALL healthcare provisions in the US have been legislated.

If Republicans trashing existing healthcare… yes it is their responsibility to find a replacement
