She sounds like one of the nurses is going to come up behind her any minute and wheel her away. She is the ONLY Senator from heavily Democrat New England, and gerrymandering cannot be blamed for that. New England likes Democrats.

So why would the DNC allow Platner to win the primary and then be on the ballot?

Because the alternative was a governor who was just as old as Collins.

The DNC tried desperately to find an alternative to Collins. But the Bernie Bros are as much a problem for the DNC as the MAGAts are for the GOP.
