But it's actually percentages that tell the story. Whites are like 65% of the US population compared to blacks at 13%. So if whites had twice as many people having abortions than blacks, percentage wise it affects the black population more than whites.

Now look at your percentages. Blacks make up 14% of the population. So they are obviously more likely by 14% to have an abortion. That’s hardly a reason to blame them for the problem when in reality, whites HAVE DRAMATICALLY MORE IN ACTUAL NUMBERS.

I don't claim it's a problem no matter who has abortions. I'm not crazy about abortions but I also believe it's a personal and individual choice to have one--not governments choice. At the same time, I agree with overturning Roe because I never believed it was a constitutional right.

I don’t understand that. Either it’s a constitutional right nationally, or it isn’t. Just like before RvW,it has started already being a zoo. It’s a federal problem when you have to cross state lines to practice ANY RIGHT. If it’s not a Govt choice nationally, it can’t be a Govt choice state or locally. RvW just took the fed and the state’s out of choosing. Control over your own body is as natural a right as anyone could hope to have codified.

I was in a real militia, active for two years in the military then guardsman for 8. . A state militia is an “unorganized”. “Well regulated” is in the constitution. It never really left. The only change is that abortion was ruled as not being constitutionally protected. Most states did nothing with that. Some states have, but women who wait forever to get an abortion can still do so in liberal states, some almost right up to birth.

You can feel anyway you desire, but it's not a constitutional right and never was. That was a bad decision made in the early 70's that never should have been. If you want to make it a constitutional right, you have to abide by the procedures needed to amend the document. You can't make something a constitutional right because you feel it would create a problem on a national level. That's what legislatures are for. On the federal level you need to write laws to address any problems.

What's protected in the Constitution are states rights. When Roe was the law of the land, states that may have otherwise wanted no or limited abortion had to have abortions because it was ruled constitutionally protected. That's no longer the case. States are free to make their own laws the way our founders intended.

And again, if you want abortion to be constitutionally protected, then you need to have your reps go through the complete amendment process. If they can get it through, then it will be protected.

Correct. And nowhere in the Constitution will you find the word "abortion." Nowhere in history books will you find any debate about abortion by the authors of the document. It's simply not in there.

Because, abortion is freedom of choice over one’s own body. We founght a war declaring states did not have the right to take fundamental freedoms of people that included slavery and the choice over their own destiny. and their own bodies. Slave owners refused to allow slaves freedom to protect their own bodies. The right must be afraid of women or they must hate women.

If they had their way, they’d let states to be able to adopt slavery again under the guise of state’s rights, which is denying people’s their freedom and right to choose. States allowed owners to punish and murder their own slaves and others in the name of denying choices to protect their own bodies.

They must also hate the idea that everyone should equal access to healthcare. too. States have a history of denying right to choose for their citizens.

That’s why we have Medicare and Medicaid and federal invention as decided by the constitution.
