Why do people believe that for the first time in the history of high-rise fires, three towers fell flat in seconds, including one (WTC7) not even hit by a plane? Because JET FUEL! THIS WAS DIFFERENT! This stuff pushes hundred ton monster jetliners across oceans at 500 MPH! That must be some hot stuff!

But guess what? It's only kerosene, a little higher grade with some anti-freeze and other minor additives. Burns at roughly the same temperature when spilled into open air. Which is what the 9/11 fires were.

It wasn't seconds. It had to do with the weight above where the planes hit and the strength of the steel as it heated up. Their were structural engineers that were trying to communicate that the building would collapse before the building collapsed.

It seems that the terrorists learned from their previous failures at trying to bring down the tower by attacking the beams at the bottom of the building where the beams were much beefier than the beams used in the top of the building.
