How did humankind ever manage without this?

Reminds me of toilets in at factories China. Just holes in the floor.

American ex-pats who have retired to Cambodia will love the OP's link.
But, I'm not one of 'em.

One drawback...

Explosive diahria.

My first "country outhouse" experience in Japan was something to remember. It was the second day I was there....mid August in Himeji. It was HOT!

Went in to that thing with all the best intentions. I am pretty good at darts and I've sunk my share of 20 footers.......but I had never had to aim in this manner before.

I was not accurate. Fortunately.........the hose reached.

I learned days later that I was supposed to face the wall and not the door. It made a world of difference.

Anyone wanna hear about how my bell got rung by the automatic taxi door?
