Stephen Crowder is often an ass, but occasionally he’s funny, but sometimes he does stories like this which hit right at the heart of the issue.

In this video, he points out how when platforms like Twitter increase their free speech by allowing a wider diversity of opinions. The left backed off and started criticizing it as right wing echo chamber. The problem if it ever became an echo chamber is directly because of the fact that people on the left started abandoning it.

The left couldn’t handle that there was a platform that allowed everybody to share their opinions equally. Nobody ever said that Democrat couldn’t post there, in fact, the platform was made as a place for everybody could share their opinions no matter what. Instead, the left created platforms like bluesky where diversity of opinion is pretty much stifled. Try being a right winger on that platform and going there and posting something and you’ll be shouted down vigorously by the left, and very possibly booted from the platform.

The left can’t tolerate any space that it can’t control so rather than participating in an open platform they move themselves to their own special corner, where they don’t allow anybody else in that proves that it’s actually the right has more diversity of thought and speech

Free speech on X? What a laugh.

I come across tweets on nearly a daily basis that have been removed.

Name calling is a sign of ignorance and the potential for evil actions. Who is this 'left' a thoughtful person would wonder. Characterizing people and creating supeficial and pointed questions is something a thoughtful American should ignore....

Yeah, like those who constantly insult MAGA.

lol… this POS site banned users for saying there are two genders.

So now recognizing leftists for who and what they are is "name calling"?

For violating terms of service or for trying to silence opinion ?

Take a look around where you are at…

If it's anything like Facebook, you'll get banned without even knowing what it is you're not supposed to do.

Facebook merely says "you've been banned, go read the terms of service for why"....

If you want to see a true echo chamber, go over to Bluesky.

The Jacobins there exile the Girondists and Dantonists on a daily basis.

I can’t see X banning to censor. If someone’s posts are being removed it has to be for violating the tos.

The latter.

Really? Where is that happening. Got any examples? Seems odd that X would ban for opinion when his whole thing was “everyone has a voice”

Yes, bluesky is the site where the liberals coagulated…and then complained that X was a right wing echo chamber.

I’m like…if you move out of the neighborhood, you lose the right to complain about how the people you left behind cut their grass..

You want me to show you posts I have viewed, that when I came back and looked at them again a day or two later, were then deleted? Seriously?

I do remember in my life, this was the most notable example;

The problem is, who gets to decide the rules?

Usually it's AI, and AI can be manipulated.

I’m just looking for evidence of musk censoring people.

As far as the link you posted, what am I reading? A claim by someone who, as it appears, was talking about things that possibly happened before musk bought twitter.

? That’s not censorship lol. Some photographers were posting unflattering pictures of hegseth so they barred them from the briefing room.

I mean, if you are going to try and smear people, they don’t have to invite you to their meetings…but you’re not being censored,
