They have lost that cachet now. Sheryl knows. You can buy better and cheaper electric cars. Their next product is a truck that is no use for trucking and his political antics have alienated the very people who buy his cars. Maga doesnt drive electric.

But I think the big problem is musk himself. His market is pro the planet and pro decency. They are naturallyappalled by his nazi antics and dont want any part of it. Sales are down 60% in Germany.
Sales are likely to slip further as he continues his Dr Evil act. Maybe he should just sell up and let the brand recover.

When Elon Musk tanked his entire Tesla industry in January 2025 by displaying a double Nazi salute (not gesture) he destroyed that brand and those stocks. Thats when it showed just how small Elon Musks' I.Q. really is.

The blind (dumb) stock holders cheered him on for doing it. Both Musk and his investors forgot that no one in "polite America" can go around showing themselves to be a racist. Now no one can buy it, drive it, nor park it any where as the Tesla owner showed his brand to be the racist vehicle. Bill Gates said, just "insane" what Musk did.

Musk made the Tesla the poster boy of racism, "Bravo" Let's speak about Kimbal Musk he is Elon's brother, and he sold million of Tesla stock right after the stock soared high from the campaign ride of 2024. Once it came to an end in 2025... Kimball Musk was smart enough to sell those Tesla stocks (January 2025) as soon as his brother did that racist Nazi salute.

Yes, but taking people from one place to another beyond the useful range of the average EV is a real pain in the ass compared to internal combustion engines.

I think what he means is that they don't do anything that the combustion engine was already doing and is still doing. They don't fly, skip, hop, jump, etc.. For an EV they are limited. Despite all the hype they are substandard.

EVs have very good performance with very high acceleration.

They are very low maintenance.

They are charged every night at your house and you start every day with a full battery.

They can be used as battery reservoirs to run your home.

There’s plenty of special features to EVs.

The one thing they don’t do is recharge quickly, which is not concerning to most people because they’d be very unlikely to need to drive further than their range in a day.
