i can still remember when Pelosi took offense to waterboarding when god knows how many people burned or had to jump to their deaths on 9/11.

I'm not against torture (waterboarding), but it really does NOT work. They will say anything to make the suffering go away. Truth, lies, doesn't matter. They will say whatever you want them to say.

People try to off themselves before being captured by the enemy for a reason...they know they will crack under torture..whether it is truth they utter, or a lie, doesn't matter.

Torturing someone for truth is about as stupid as back in the witch days that if she sank with rocks tied around her waist, she was NOT a witch. Problem is, by the time they figured out she was not a witch, she was dead. So they wound up with a non witch that was drowned.

Stupid. And so is torture. But SCARING someone into thinking they are fixing to be...well....yeah. That outta make them pee their pants.

The key to torture is knowing something the one being tortured thinks you shouldnt know.
That brings fear of retaliation when you catch him in a lie.
Just being able to name his family members will do.

You make them pay for no reason at all and try to catch him/her in a lie.
All it takes is for you to be right one time for the thought of further torture to become unacceptable to the one being tortured,because from there on out he/she doesnt know what you really know.
