Sorry for the delay on this but I really didn't think it was necessary. But now, due to the circumstances of the disuccion on the Ukraine war, it seems only fair that I introduce myself. So with some limitations on account of privacy concerns:

I'm a Canadian
I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
I am leftist by Canadian standards but right off the map by American standards.
My biggest concern right now is being antiwar on account of the consequences of a war between US and Russia!

I may be able to answer any questions some may have, depending on my right to privacy, and also depending on anybody being interested.

Well he sometimes acts conservative, at least around me and then he's all over the map next minute and difficult to read. I think he's a Trump supporter though.

I have no issues with Don, whatsoever, I was just surprised is all.

Saying "leftist by Canadian standards", where would you say the middle is, in Canada, compared to America?

If you took the exact middle in Canada, and put it down on the American political map, where would it land? Left of center?

Not only Canada but the rest of the world's modern democracies, Canada is left of America in my opinion. That would be, in my opinion, according to the socialist policies in Canada and those European countries. I think our government run health care systems is a large measure of a country's placement on the political spectrum.

I think most Americans can agree on that, and so I hope that answers your question. And I'm sure there are many Americans who consider their country too far left.
