Has Anybody Ever Noticed This About Doubt?

The more that you ask questions and doubt your faith but yet don't actually give it up (since doubt and disbelief are two entirely different things) the stronger it actually becomes. At least, that's what I've learned.

It may be the same for me. My question was that God is said to be loving, merciful, kind. So why does He seem so bad-tempered in the Old Testament? By studying further, by going back to the original languages, literature, and cultures, I learned that it was the modern English that made Him seem so unreasonable.
