But average storm intensity has increased and, given the marine heatwave that's taking place, is going to get really scary really quick. It has become almost commonplace to see hurricanes go from Cat 1 to Cat 4 in less than 24 hours. I can't imagine what sort of storm development we're going to see this year and the next.
