Hating Hatters
Tomorrow is the last full day that George W. Bush will be President (hopefully) and I wanted to mark the occasion by finding out what everyone thought was his most impressive feat while in residence at the White House.

What do you think?

Bush's most impressive feat: Over the course of 7 years, pussy whipping the Congress into ceding unprecedented power to the Executive branch (although we all know that it was Cheney in the driver's seat).

What do you think?

He never once invited Ann Coulter to the White House??? :disbelief:

That is amazing!

aid to africa, medical and otherwise

BBC NEWS | Africa | Has Bush been Africa's best friend?

At the top of the list is the President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (Pepfar), initiated in 2003.

At the time just 50,000 Africans were on anti-retroviral drugs.

Since then the US has pumped $18bn (£12bn) into fighting HIV/Aids - much of it in Africa.

By 2007, 1.3 million Africans were on medication, much of it paid for by the Bush administration.

BUSH'S AFRICA RECORD
Pumped $18bn into fighting HIV/Aids, much of it in Africa
Backed cancelling $34bn worth of debt for 27 African states
Launched initiative that has halved Malaria in 15 African countries
Led condemnation of Sudan's record in Darfur as genocide
Pressed for north-south peace deal in Sudan
"Saved millions of lives", according to aid activist Bob Geldof
Backed Ethiopia's invasion of Somalia to battle Islamists

or doesn't this count?

Bush greatly increases Social Spending. You would think you infantile asshole Liberals would appreciate that.

Oh and then there is the little fact that he kept us from being attack again for 7 years.

Oh but I understand your irrational hate.

Dumb Fucks

How can that be?
Bush was/is racist, just ask any liberal, hurricane Katrina proved it.

Another attack piece by Ravi left in a forum it does not belong in. I bet if anyone made a similar poll about Obama it would be moved in moments.

George Bush's greatest feat? He kept the liberals in a highly whipped unabated state of froth for eight long years. Oh how they suffered. I like it!

what would be the choices?

1. someone who cheated on his taxes is in charge of the IRS.
2. spent 150 million on his inauguration.
3. put a board member of Freddie Mac on his staff.

You can say that again!

Bush's greatest feat?

He single-handedly destroyed the Republican Party.

I think I may have ya beat.

Let's try....lying to Congress to start a war, blackmailing Congress into funding an unnecessary troop deployment, war crimes in Abu Ghuraib and Guantanamo, widespread fraud among contractors in Iraq, illegal wiretaps, illegal detentions, illegal overseas prisons, illegal torture, illegally concealing evidence from the court in detainee cases, criminal irresponsibility in wrecking the military which puts us at risk from our enemies, criminal incompetence in destroying America’s position on the world stage, the illegal use of diplomats to sell Bush propaganda, violating the Constitution with the Patriot Act, and keeping people behind bars even when proved innocent.

...and subverting the U.S. justice system by making it into a weapon with which to attack political enemies, firing U.S. attorney for political reasons, the illegal exposure of Valerie Plame, the illegal signing statements which unconstitutionally infringe upon congressional power, illegally defying subpoenas, illegally destroying emails and other records in violation of a court order, criminal incompetence in FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security, illegally risking American lives by muzzling the surgeon general and emasculating the EPA, criminally putting children at risk by concealing information about the risks of baby formula under pressure from lobbyists, violating the Constitution by targeting a Democratic governor with bogus indictments, illegally bypassing Congress with executive orders and administrative actions, putting the U.S. government into bankruptcy, impeding the surgeon general from giving American life-saving information, sending thugs to disrupt officials from counting votes while screaming “don’t count the votes!”, and trying to convert the Vice Presidency into a fourth branch of government with no oversight.

So wrong it's not even funny. The party has been broken for years. What you'll find is that Bush was the last straw in a very big haystack. Guess what happens when something completely breaks down? Those involved put the pieces back together and come out stronger than they were before. So, if anything, Bush's failed administration is the wake up call Republicans needed. Expect to see a strong candidate come out in 2016.

The problem is that the Republicans refuse to admit they've done anything wrong. They still believe that America wants their philosophy, but that Bush and McCain betrayed that philosophy while Obama is fulfilling it -- their RNC chair even claimed that Obama ran the greatest moderate Republican campaign since Eisenhower.

And they're purged all the moderates who disagree with that.

In 2010 they will argue that the election results were inconclusive.

In 2012 they will argue that Obama won because of his personality.

And the excuses will never stop....
